Fishy Invitation for Miley Cyrus

Miley CyrusUPDATE: Miley Cyrus has graciously denied Long John Silver's invitation with the following letter:

Dear Mr. Butler,

Thank you for the invitation for Miley Cyrus to share a meal with you at Long John Silver's. However due to her hectic tour schedule, she is unable join you. Miley was moved by your generous offer to donate $10,000 to the Friends of the World Program in her name. She is happy to have brought more awareness to this worthwhile cause and hopes you will proceed with you kind donation. Thank you.

Taco Bell recently got Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag to ham-it-up to fight world hunger, and now Long John Silver's is looking to do the same -- with the help of Hannah Montana. Billy Ray's old mullet would be so proud!

The president of Long John's sent Miley this letter, asking her to use her celebrity profile to raise awareness about world hunger, offering a $10,000 donation in her name to the Friends of the World Food Program -- and a complimentary Long John Silver's Fish Platter!

3. I am so pissed about the ticket situation for her concerts I am done buying her stuff for my daughter. I know it is not their fault that all the tickets were bought before they even went on sale and now you have to pay thousands to see her show (which most cannot afford)...BUT, they are doing NOTHING to remedy the situation...how can they? you ask- they can add more shows to the tour and sell the tickets ONLY at the box office...that is the way it was done when I was in school...back in the day (the 80's)! My daughter is so disappointed she cannot see Hannah in concert...it is a shame so many fans have been let down.

7. Good for Miley, good for Long John Silver's, and good for the effort to ease world hunger. I am thinking this campaign should be expanded, and I would like to suggest that Waffle House join the fight with their celebrity spokesman Kid Rock.

9. Kathy, Great News! The sold-out Hannah Montana concert will hit select movie theaters in February next year as a special Disney presentation. It will show in theaters in the U.S. and Canada from February 1-7 of next year. Maybe your kids can check it out after all (and at a much cheaper price!)

10. Have any of you seen her interviewed on the late night talk shows? She is totally one of those kids that was taught show business talk (overly enthusiastic, overly expressive). Maybe you have to be 10 years old to find it appealing.

By the way, all of you parents desperate to buy tickets for your little girls... welcome to the Cabbage Patch/Tickle Me Elmo/Back Street Boys phenomenon - so *must have* now, so forgotten in a year or two. Is it really that important? How about sending that ticket money to a worthy cause, instead?

I am so going to get blasted for this. Blast away!

I so agree with you the mjority of the people who are complaining are the ones who didn't get tickets. There is always going to be a hot item last year it was the PS#3 and the Wii and I so remember waiting in line with my older sister to get her daughter a cabbage patch.

I had no trouble getting 8 tickets so for parents who really tried you could have gotten them also. I got 4 on the presale date friend also got 4 on presale date and she didn't even try till 10 minutes after they went on sale. I got 4 on sale date for my sisters kids and she didn't call me until 10 minutes after the tickets went on sale and she realized she wasn't going to make it home in time to try so I got them for her with no problems and this was 10 minutes after they went on sale. This was for Nassau New York concert.

14. I joined her club to get the presale and they were sold out as soon as we were allowed to access tickets. I am glad some of you were able to buy them... I am in South Florida and we tried to buy tickets the second they went on sale...the entire venue was already sold out...there is no line you can stand in...if there was, there would be no issue...we would have camped out and everything...unfortunately, this is all online and tickets were all bought up by ticket brokers before the public even had a chance...I am glad they are making a movie version of the concert...that seems to be some attempt at restitution...still, not the same thing though.

15. Miley Cyrus is an example of what the kids on Disney productions should be like.

Miss Vanessa could...or should have...taken note.
