A federal judge released rapper T.I. on $3 million bail Friday -- $2 million in cash bond and $1 million in property. T.I. must remain under house arrest until his trial on weapons charges.
U.S. Attorney's Office spokesman Patrick Crosby has informed TMZ that a private monitoring company will reside at T.I.'s home, and he will be subject to drug, alcohol and weapons searches at their discretion. The ATF will also be allowed to search the residence. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman ordered the rapper be monitored 24 hours a day by a private monitoring service that T.I. must pay for.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, must stay in his home except for medical appointments and court appearances. He also may not own any guns and cannot have contact with any witnesses or informants in the case.
T.I. was arrested on October 13 on federal gun charges. No new court date has been set.

I think it's a set up but he'll come out on top because T.I. is not a criminal. He has done more for the community then any of those celeb drug abusers. They just hating on him because he's the KING!!!!!
I am a black female who believes T.I deserved every ounce of what happened to him. Yeah right of course he was set up by "the man" no rapper would ever want to purchase weapons even though thats all they glorify along with money in most of their music. I'm so sick of rappers rapping about money hoes guns and clothes and they are brigning down all these other little black kids witht them who think this is all there is to life. These guys most of them have come from poverty stricken areas yes I admit to that but rather than move to the suburbs and try and bring other black folks up out of the ghetto, they rap about drugs and rify all this stuff and make kids think its cool to hustle. I hope he gets the time he deserves for this foolishness there is no reason to get all these weapons he wasnt living in the Iraq or Darfur and he had body guards so there was no need. And for all you stupidos who are praying to God for him pray for kids dying of cancer and starving, not for a rich grown ass man who bought guns and was a felon and yeah right of course the white man set him up seems to us the white man is always to blame..
My Mother always told me tht if u can't say something nice, don't say it at all. And from reading these comments some of u and u kno who u r shld jus keep your trap shut. If the shoe was on the other foot, I'm 4 sure u wld hipe that some 1 stands by u the same as TI. Regardless if he's guilty or not, is not 4 u 2 judge, there's only 1 judge and he will have the last say, so stop stress n about his business when u can't do a damn thing about it. Be blessed TIP.
CALL HIM AN IDIOT, STUPID WHATEVER... ALL OF THOSE APPLY....
BUT WHEN THE FIRST COMMENT I SEE IS "ANOTHER BLACK THUG, LOCK THEM ALL UP" FORGIVE ME IF MY STOMACH TURNS A BIT!
AND I DOUBT BRITNEY GETS RACIALLY ATTACKED ON HERE.... THE FAILURE FOR YOU TO REALIZE THE DIFFERENCE PROVES YOUR INTOLERANCE
Iâm puzzled on why it is so hard to just âfollow-the-laws.â That way âItâs a set-upâ doesnât need to be tried. Ya think?
I am not racist but I don't like people who purchase machine guns. What is that all about? If he was Italian like I am I still wouldn't like him, just like I don't like anyone in the Mafia. People with machine guns are evil!
Just because U got a gun - don't mean that's the only one! Memphis Tenn. in this M-__cker- hoe shut your mouth!
Soon there will be one less free rapper, aka "Gangsta' Wannabe..."
Society improves dramatically and poor children of BOTH races have less of a chance to be poisoned by these thugs. GO PROSECUTORS!
Hold on to your baggy pants ya'll, OJ, TA, TP and BO were set-up too???
NOT...
Why was he in jail so long? He obviously had the money to post bail. I think they(the police) trumped up more charges to keep him in there longer. I'm not saying what he's accused of doing is not wrong, IF they are true, I'm just saying that other celebs i.e. Paris and Nicole got better treatment and less punishment for their more serious crimes. Sad, that America is still promoting racism.
#19, LML, it also has an "s" in it too. That's GANGSTER! Idiot, think before you speak or type, in this case.
#21. Misterdirk, So driving on the wrong side of the highway high as hell, endangering the lives of others, including children (Nicole Richie) or driving drunk (Paris and damn near every other celeb) or chasing someone on the streets in an SUV high on coke, a la Lindsay, is not serious either? You don't think that these people should have been punished any more or worse than T.I.? If you have kids, you would understand where I'm coming from, it would scare the hell out of me to know that some overpriveleged rich kid is driving around irresponsibly if my kids were on the highway. Wake up!
It's a shame he made bail. I hope he decides to run. Forfeiting his money and becoming a fugitive would be sweet. He would have to live in England though. Blacks don't blend in well in Mexico or Canada. And if he goes to England, all the muslims will try to recruit him to fight for their cause. He would probably feel more comfortable living in a cell taking it in the ass from time to time. Wow the possibilities! Maybe someone will kill him while he's waiting for his trial. One can only hope.
