T.I. Makes Bail!

A federal judge released rapper T.I. on $3 million bail Friday -- $2 million in cash bond and $1 million in property. T.I. must remain under house arrest until his trial on weapons charges.

U.S. Attorney's Office spokesman Patrick Crosby has informed TMZ that a private monitoring company will reside at T.I.'s home, and he will be subject to drug, alcohol and weapons searches at their discretion. The ATF will also be allowed to search the residence. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman ordered the rapper be monitored 24 hours a day by a private monitoring service that T.I. must pay for.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, must stay in his home except for medical appointments and court appearances. He also may not own any guns and cannot have contact with any witnesses or informants in the case.

T.I. was arrested on October 13 on federal gun charges. No new court date has been set.

31. I’m puzzled on why it is so hard to just “follow-the-laws.” That way “It’s a set-up” doesn’t need to be tried. Ya think?

32. I am not racist but I don't like people who purchase machine guns. What is that all about? If he was Italian like I am I still wouldn't like him, just like I don't like anyone in the Mafia. People with machine guns are evil!

35. Soon there will be one less free rapper, aka "Gangsta' Wannabe..."
Society improves dramatically and poor children of BOTH races have less of a chance to be poisoned by these thugs. GO PROSECUTORS!

37. #19, LML, it also has an "s" in it too. That's GANGSTER! Idiot, think before you speak or type, in this case.

38. Why was he in jail so long? He obviously had the money to post bail. I think they(the police) trumped up more charges to keep him in there longer. I'm not saying what he's accused of doing is not wrong, IF they are true, I'm just saying that other celebs i.e. Paris and Nicole got better treatment and less punishment for their more serious crimes. Sad, that America is still promoting racism.

39. #21. Misterdirk, So driving on the wrong side of the highway high as hell, endangering the lives of others, including children (Nicole Richie) or driving drunk (Paris and damn near every other celeb) or chasing someone on the streets in an SUV high on coke, a la Lindsay, is not serious either? You don't think that these people should have been punished any more or worse than T.I.? If you have kids, you would understand where I'm coming from, it would scare the hell out of me to know that some overpriveleged rich kid is driving around irresponsibly if my kids were on the highway. Wake up!

40. I believe that Clifford Harris not a good example and I won't use this fake ghetto name that he uses, I'll use the one his mom gave him. Clifford is a felon and felons aren't suppose to have any kind of weapon or weapons. In black America, you've got to understand one thing just because someone throws crumbs to the community, but is doing bad things he still a bad person. Wakeup and look at your community, you may think the world doesn't see it, but they do and it's not pretty and the leadership like Mayor Ray Nagen of New Orleans who screwed you over sooo bad, but you just re-elected him again for a second kick in the ass!!! Blame Bush all you want, but at the end of the day it's the black leaders who lead you over the cliff!!!

41. It's a shame he made bail. I hope he decides to run. Forfeiting his money and becoming a fugitive would be sweet. He would have to live in England though. Blacks don't blend in well in Mexico or Canada. And if he goes to England, all the muslims will try to recruit him to fight for their cause. He would probably feel more comfortable living in a cell taking it in the ass from time to time. Wow the possibilities! Maybe someone will kill him while he's waiting for his trial. One can only hope.

42. To: For Real: there is a difference between a typo and the deliberate mangling of the English language. You are so keen on keeping it real so here is the reality; felons purchasing machine guns off of the streets are criminals. Criminals belong in prison. Clifford and others like him are the ones destroying the black community, not whites or anyone else. Black on black crime is epidemic. Focus on that, loser.

43. What is USA becoming? Why is T.I. being treated so harshly for weapon's possession? Did he murder somebody? Did he kill a cop? I think it is unfair the way he is being treated. It is tantamount to cruel and unusual punishment and should be condemned totally by all fair-minded Americans because it is unconstitutional.

Posted at 3:28AM on Oct 27th 2007 by T.I. punishment is cruel and unusual and very unfair

44. Hey idoits! It has nothing to do with being black. If you think having a machinegun is no big deal then you live next door to him with your kids.Enough wit down playing what he did and grow up.Is there such a thing as accoutability any more? machinegun and silencer are two types of dark and evil things for some one like this thug to have.Stop with the its a set up and grow up!

45. What’s appalling is how the laws of our great country are constantly being dissected, challenged and discriminated against in an attempt to meet the needs of fools and criminals. Anyone having illegal guns in their homes gets to meet our countries federal gov’t. –Where is the gladness for our own protection?

Maybe we should be teaching right from wrong in our schools in 1st grade since what should be a ‘no brainier’ is better understood. This way the most popular phrase of “it’s a set-up” is no longer viewed as an alterative in lacking common sense. Unless they are learning to say that at home or within their gangs, then the courts will have to decide, which is exactly where they are within our country today.

I am so sick of hearing “it’s a set-up” as a lying excuse over living an honorable, truthful life. Better yet, take one of our 50 and let them fight it out themselves. Can't come back until you're ready to be civil and follow the RULES, like the rest (period)
