The L.A. City Attorney has charged actor and TV host Gary Collins with misdemeanor driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level above .08.
Collins was busted last week while driving in an L.A. suburb. As we first reported, Collins smashed his Ford Explorer into another car that police say had cut Collins off. The Explorer then smashed into two cars parked on the street. We're told the 89-year-old driver of the second car is still recovering in the hospital.
If convicted, the former host of "Miss America" could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. He'll be arraigned November 16.
17. I also hate it when other posters think they have the right to say something about other comments. Comment about the story, and mind your own damn business.
19. Yeah the guy is fabulous alright. I have almost made a million dollars off the junk he sells. Course I spent nearly a million buyin it. Can't you people just let others alone on here? We git the rip off point. So leave other people alone. Or buy this guys stuff........look it up on google.....he sells junk to people who don't know better, cause it sounds good. That's what the point was here.
22. NOBODY 89 years old should be allowed to drive. Stupid old geezer pulled right out in front of traffic and caused this mess. Thank god only the stupid geriatric case was hurt, as it should be. Gary should sue the old fart's kids for letting doddering old daddy drive.

23. I think his wife was a Miss America like 50 years ago. Not sure what he does.....
24. Forget about the ".08" above the legal limit - we all know how THAT one is going to end up........we SHOULD BE ASKING what the hell is an 89 year old doing with a driver's license??

25. You're not a celebrity until you've had a DUI!
My friend got a DUI on purpose last night just because Kiefer got one. He wants to be just like him. So sad.
29. Gary now you know how poor OLD Burt Parks felt. You were an a-hole to him, humiliating him futher, and Karma is coming to collect.

30. Speaking of comments: TMZ.com states right where you leave the comments "To create a live link, simply type the URL (including http://) or e-mail address and we will make it a live link for you. You can put up to three URLs in your comments." It does say purely promotional comments will be deleted however they are deleting my comments, just bcs I am including a link to my blog, even though I AM making relevant comments. This is SHADY and NOT COOL.
