She's not your usual trailing spouse in a career relocation. The wife of Miami Heat superstar Shaquille O'Neal has found a local job - to file entertainment and lifestyle reports for two local television stations.

The first of Shaunie O'Neal's reports on WFOR and WBFS are scheduled to air this month.

O'Neal's entertainment and sports background doesn't just rest on the shoulders that are part of her husband's more than 7-foot-tall frame. She has been a correspondent for "The Insider," has appeared on "The Best Damn Sports Show" and was a special assignments reporter for "Access Hollywood." O'Neal has also been a co-host of "Lakers Living Room" and the ESPN Awards Nomination Show special.

Shannon High-Bassalik, vice president of news for Viacom South Florida, called O'Neal a gifted broadcaster with a natural, inviting presence.

"At the same time, she possesses an obvious rapport with the biggest stars and celebrities," High-Bassalik added. "Her skills, drive and contacts make her a great asset to our television stations."
