Oksana Baiul's Fashion Chernobyl

Ukrainian figure-skating sensation Oksana Baiul has suffered a style meltdown!
Oksana Baiul
Dressed ready for nuclear winter, the 30-year-old Olympic gold medalist was snapped in NYC on Saturday -- looking like the illegitimate spawn of a nouveau riche Moscow streetwalker and Grimace!

The entire ramifications from the fallout of this disaster are unknown, but persons nearby already experienced nausea.

76. What a mean spirited group. So you don't like her outfit -- big deal.

77. I really like her too. Don't be so mean. So she's made fashion mistakes (big one with the Madonna look-alike girdle "outfit" at Super Bowl). But she's still a young, sweet girl and deserved skating gold metal. Her mother passed away when she was young and she's adjusted to life in our country virtually alone.

78. Not the most attractive outfit but she is Russian what do you expect

79. She is extremely gifted, and like so many gifted people, very eccentric. Her father left her and her mother, and her mother died of cancer when she was about 14. Unlike so many "celebrities," she really could DO something extremely well -- well enough to make history. And she lost that ability at a young age due to serious back problems, that led to other problems -- pain killers, depression, drinking. The usual pattern for someone who had so much taken from her. Not one person who makes fun of her has 1/100 of her talent, or has any clue about what it means to suffer. I'd rather spend one evening in her company than have any of you around.

80. Okay, yes, this outfit is a disaster, but is it really necessary to call her a "streetwalker?" This web site is cattier than the worst woman!

81. Moi, cattier than the worst woman? If by "Catty" you mean insulting and demeaning, then I find most men to be far worse than any woman I have met.
But yes, those political judges in 1994 ruined this poor girls life by giving her a gold medal she did not deserve. Imagine if she had been allowed to refine her talent for four more years. How beautiful her skating might have been, with actual technical merit. And, of course, the fours years of maturity might have helped her adjust to a western lifestyle she was not ready for at 16. OH my, like 20 is so mature...but infinitely more so than 16, especially when you are alone.

88. I never come on this site, but this came up while I was doing a search on Chernobyl.

All I want to say is that this is the most offensive thing I've ever read. Comparing somebody's dress to the worst nuclear disaster in history just trivializes the tragedy and its victims. This article is on the same level as saying that a Jewish celebrity "Holocausted her hair".
