Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, has confirmed to OK! Magazine that she is pregnant. Oh. My. God.
A source tells us the interview, which hits stands tomorrow, is six pages and is on the record with Jamie Lynn and her mother. She tells the mag that the father is Casey Aldridge, who she has been dating for some time and first met at church. Brit's younger sister, star of Nick's "Zoey 101," says she's keeping the baby.
Sources tell us that she has not yet told her older sister. Well, she knows now.
UPDATE: Nickelodeon issued the following statement this afternoon: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

I think it is cool that Jamie Lynn is PREGNANT. As long as tha she know she will take care of it. I'm ON JAMIE'S SIDE. I think that Jamie will be an awesome Mother as long as the father of the baby is right there with her at all times. Not putting any stress on her, it's not good for the baby. u cant sit there and judge jamie by things that her sister she will make her own mistakes on her own time but i havnt seen one yet she got pregnent yea, but she is taking responsibility for that so back off, shes not her sister give her a break
It's very sad to know the fact of increasing number of teen parents. Other parents and kids should be aware of the problem associated with teen parenting. God bless new mom to be.
I really don't see why so many people are making a big deal about her pregnancy. This is nothing new for many teens around the world. For many normal people this is apart of their life. I mean a movie is being released about the exact same thing she's going through (i.e. Juno). I feel like if people had something better to do with their life than judge other people then we would all do better. I say to Jamie Lynn, honey you're ok and continue to live your life. I wish the best for you and your child.
This is just stupid. I know you're supposed to learn from your mistakes but couldn't she have learned from her sister's?? What's wrong with the world today? A 16 year old can get pregnant and I can't? I mean seriously. Hope she never has big sis babysit.

is this what the world is coming to? pregnant teen star and so may celebs having kids out of wedlock? who are kids to look up to when their favorite stars are setting bad examples? jamie has tons of money but couldn't spend a few bucks on some rubber? or was it really not worth the wait, she hasn't graduated high school yet.

I know Jamie Lynn has had some bad in-flueinses in her life. But Britt needs to get ahold of life. you know, i know she is a good person deep down. jamie lynn will make the right choises in the end. She is an amazingly beautiful young woman and so is Britt. They just need to wake up. Because I know they have what it takes to turn this train around and grab life by the horns. I think they both will learn from each others mastakes. I just know it! I mean, Britt is will make another mastake Jamie will learn from it, and the other way around. I hope they wake up soon!
