19. Rebecca did not kill a child. The kid was jaywalking and ran out in front of her car. It was an unfortunate accident because the kid broke the law.

And good for Rebecca for cleaning up after her dog.

22. The final comment written at the end of this story was not needed. To make fun of a celebrity is one thing, but to laugh at the idea of an innocent boy being KILLED is not. I don't know if it Harvey or the writer of this story has a child, but what if it was yours? Would you laugh then. Stick to Lohan and Paris, at least they make personal choices.

24. I wish you guys would stop with the cracks about that accident she had - that kid was jaywalking and she hit him. By accident, which is why she didn't go to jail. I bet it eats away at her every day, as it would anyone with a conscience. I know of two people who accidentally killed jaywalkers, and the one who spoke about it afterwards said it "tears him up".

25. complete crap, she was trying to go around traffic and thats how she hit that kid, not him jaywalking. and so what if he was. she was going too fast and was going around traffic and then through a stop sign. she is trash! amazing how these people can walk around free just for being who they are, and shes not even a good actress.

26. On June 13, 2001, Gayheart struck and fatally injured nine-year-old Jorge Cruz Jr. as he crossed a Los Angeles-area street. According to the police report, the child was walking home from school and crossed the street. While several cars stopped to let him go, Gayheart swerved around them and into a two-way left-turn lane, striking the boy. Her attorney, Steven Lerman, subsequently admitted Gayheart had been using a cell phone during impact.[8]

Cruz died the next day at Los Angeles Children's Hospital. His parents, Jorge Cruz and Silvia Martinez, filed a wrongful-death lawsuit on August 6, 2001, against her, seeking coverage of medical and funeral expenses, and compensation for loss of future earnings. The lawsuit was settled out of court, and settlement terms were not disclosed.[8] On November 27, 2001, she pleaded no contest to vehicular manslaughter. She was sentenced to three years probation, a one-year suspension of her license, a $2,800 fine, and 750 hours of community service. She was also ordered to make a public-service announcement. Gayheart was represented in the criminal proceeding by Harland Braun.

Later that year, she flipped a rental car into two parked cars with her father commenting that, "I've told my wife not to let her drive any more".[9]

27. She killed a child. A year or so later she flipped her car into 2 parked cars. Don't know how she managed that manuever but anyway, she's not in jail and why????
