32. Actually my son (who was stationed last year in San Diego) met him and said he was an extremely nice man. I don't blame him....his name and likeness are well-known worldwide, and no one should exploit anyone else without having obtained permission to use that likeness. I hope he wins, and donates any settlement to charity. These companies need to be taught a lesson. They are capitalizing on his name and likeness, and I'm sure he wasn't going to be compensated for it.

33. Yes, He should be the only Eastwood in the world to be allowed to use that name. He Should Sue Every Eastwood business from here to eternity. Give me a Break!
America is in a financial recession. Companies are fighting to be able to keep there doors open. Furniture Retailers and manufacturers are going out of business at record numbers. And though I agree they should never infringe on his rights, they should never use his image or likeness either. But if it is strickly a style name on one chair? Then I find the lawsuit frivolous and petty at the least. I hope that the court demands records of all :"Eastwood" sales and profits, and divides it evenly between all living people with the name "Eastwood" in the world, Maybe everyone will receive $.05 each. And multi millionaire Clint Can rest easy that he set a great example to everyone.

34. Oeople should never buy a product or design with an actor or actresses name on it anyway. Why Should The Celebrity get paid millions of dollars to "Endorse" a Product, Mislead people into thinking they 'designed" it ( Jessica Simpson, Olsen Twins, Kathy Ireland, Jaclyn Smith, Gwen Stefani, etc) When Some poor talented schmuck actually came up with the idea, did all the work and was paid a tiny fraction of what the Name is paid. Most celebrities are leaches and think they deserve more because they are special. Got news for them, they are not that special and there are thousands of people who are waiting for the same jobs they take for granted.

I like Clint Eastwood and love the Dirty Harry movies but this is a very petty case.It would be understandable if it were a product that wasn't suitable but a bloody chair.Maybe they should bring out a model for the nursing home residents called the "Eastwood" that would be suitable to his age.

40. I think that perhaps Mr. Eastwood should get a life....a real one!!!....I think this is absolutely petty of him to carry on with such garbage. I honestly hope that Palliser wins this one...like I can't imagine he is the only Eastwood. How can he honestly think that it reflects upon him and his character.....in others...Buy me I am ugly, old, and cheap....Like yah okay if that reflects upon you and your character, go hard buddy.!!!LOL.
