James Caan was piiiiised at TMZ because we made it seem like he was attacking Francis Ford Coppola.


A few weeks back we shot Caan coming out of a restaurant when a fan handed him a "Godfather" photo. Caan wanted to know who's signature was in the photo and the fan responded, "It's Francis Ford Coppola," to which Caan responded, "What a pig."

Caan's rep says the actor was looking at his own image when he said that. An angry Jimmy told us over the weekend he loved Francis and couldn't believe we said what we said. So which story you buyin'?

5. I like TMZ when you first hit the scene because you gave something new. Now, your organizarion is nothing more than those trashy tabloid magazines. You guys have become irritants, you don't report things accurately and you keep up a lot of mess. Harvey it is sad because you were once respected, I guess its like the old adage if you can't beat them join them.
