157. They ask where's proof of abuse?? i say among by the amount of children produced on a mass scale, there's your proof staring you in the face

Uh, if having great numbers of children is "abuse" then you'd better arrest the entire population of the Catholic schools I attended, where families had from as few as 3 to as many as 17 children.

There is not even an ALLEGATION that the younger or male children have been abused, just that teens have been married off early (which is legal in many, many states). How, in American, do you confiscate dozens and dozens of children with not even an allegation that those children are endangered or abused?

Go after anyone forcing marriage on teens, if that allegation can be proven, but that state is in for one hell of a class action suit if dozens of children NOT alleged to be in danger or abused have been taken from their families based on religious bigotry and witch hunt mentalities.

If men having babies my multiple "baby mommas" and those women defrauding the welfare system has y'all up in arms, perhaps you should take that up with African American community in the U.S. Or is it ok if to do the exact same thing as long as you don't have a unibrow or wear a bad dress?

Let us not show everyone that we are the heathens that they think we are. I have known Mormons myself personally, and they have been very nice to me. I never got the feeling that they truly wanted me to be a part of their church, (I am an African American Hispanic) but I'd be a liar if I said that anything crazy or strange was noticeable when I was around them. I believe in the Bible. When Jesus ascended into heaven He said that it would be the last time that any human would see Him until He returned again to rapture us all. I do not personally believe that any angel Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith or anyone else, but that's just my opinion. We all have beliefs that we were either taught, or discovered on our own. There are Catholics who believe in aparitions of Mary all over the world, so who are we to say. One thing that I do know, is that having a "ceremonial marriage bed" in a temple where people can witness the rape of 14 year old girls in the 21st century is just plain wrong. If it is true that this Warren Jeffs person has cars, cellphones, laptops, etc.., he should be punished to the full extent of the law, because he is aware of and participates in luxuries for himself that he does not afford to the others living in his "compound". He is using "religion" to be a modern-day pimp, and that's all. If both the BOYS AND GIRLS were allowed to marry young and choose their spouses, then OK. But, this the DELIBERATE sacrificing of young females to much older males/relatives. I feel sorry for the women twofold, because I'm sure that they are forced to cover it up, and probably do not have great IQ's to begin with due to all of the inbreeding. I cry for the lost boys, I pray for them, and I only wish I had the financial resources to have some place to rehabilitate these women and children. This is not only happening in the U.S. These fowl things happen all over the world every single day. Society is falling backwards, not moving forwards. Let's not use this as a forum to show how ignorant we can be as well.

Oprah recently had on her show Polygamists that were "modern day " types that lived in BEAUTIFUL COMPOUNDS... with REALLY HUGE EXPENSIVE HOUSES...These Sister/Wives looked like Soccer Moms, Moms next door, and were QUITE ATTRACTIVE. WORE COOL, UP TO DATE CLOTHES AND PRETTY HAIR AND MAKEUP. The picture above represents another type of Polygmists...Both are out there. Both are current. Both are illegal. Both marry off women (girls) young. Both are portrayed in the show "Big Love." It is REALLY DISGUSTING HOW THESE PEOPLE TREAT THEIR YOUNG TEENAGE BOYS...THINK ABOUT IT. If a man in is 50's has several young wives, then there will be an over abundace of Men eventually, right??? Well, the elder men have been known to take these boys when they come of age, drive them out to the desert and leave them there !!! I believe they are called the "LOST BOYS", That way the "competition" is gone...DISGUSTING...poor boys, left with no money, no education, no food, no car, no place to live, no skills, to fend for themselves in a strange new world...READ ABOUT IT, IT IS ALL TRUE.....ALL OF THIS ABUSE OF CHILDREN HAS BECOME A SORT OF SICK 'TRADITION' WITH THESE PEOPLE. IF THEY DONT SEPARATE THE KIDS FROM THE MOMS, THEN THE MOM'S CANT "COACH " THE CHILDREN TO LIE TO THE POLICE.....When these "moms are complaining that their kids are saying that outside people are "lying" to the children, THAT IS A LIE. Because, in reality, they are FINALLY getting the TRUTH for the first time. These children are taught at an early age that we are all "godless" and are going to hurt or kill them... Read about it .Read books written by women who narrowly escaped with their lives... VERY SCARY. The men are BRILLIANT AT COVERING THEIR TRACKS, VERY SICK AND DISGUSTING TO USE CHILDREN IN THIS MANNER....HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A DIFFERENCE IN RELIGION. THIS ABOUT CERTAIN ABUSES AGAINST WOMEN AND BOYS AND GIRLS..

I feel for the women if there's no abuse going on, but I don't feel sorry on the other hand because there are under aged children that are having babies and shouldn't be, this is violating their rights as a person.
I feel as though this is abuse and that the children should be taken away and placed in a safer environment for their safety.
I don't think that the girls should get married under aged and be married to a 50-60 year old man, and I believe that the girls are being abused and that is was right for the police to step in before anyone got hurt greatly or even killed.
As a mother of 1 15 year old, I would never let this happen to my child or to want another child to be done this way.
I also feel as though if these women start saying that if they get their kids back then they will go back to the compound to be with the men.
Just my ideas and suggestions.

I had read a lot of books on FDLS and their lifestyle. And it is very interesting. I don't agree with underage marriages even under 18. But you have to understand what these kids grow up with this and that is all they understand. They say that the wives chose to stay and some do but they may also think that they have no way out. Don't judge the woman when you don't know what they have been thru in their life, it is not fair. If that is all they know they don't know that it may be wrong.I just wish that they would let the moms be with their children. I am not saying to send them all home, just le the moms back with their kids.
