Technically, he'd be the new Ross, as he is dating Jennifer Aniston (Rachel). Also, Mayer, like Ross, has had many relationships, although non of them have lasted very long. David Arquette would be Chandler because he's married to Courtney Cox (Monica), and he's hilarious.

A lot of married people don't wear their wedding ring, so i doubt it is significant.

That would be huge for the relationship if John and Courtney both approved of each other. Time will tell if that scares John away... or BFF had any reservations about him. I think it'd be cool if they lasted, especially with Brangelina about to pop again. I'm sure Jen could care less, if she's happy with John and he's a "good" as a boyfriend as they say he is.... :)
