To give credit when and where it is due, I have to say that Britney deserves it.
She is right where she should be and doing exactly what she should. That's what you do when you are a family. No family is perfect, but the bonds still bind.

*snork* In case you missed it, my comment was about Britney being there for her sister when she gave birth. Britney's current status with her children and her mental health is still in flux, but from all outward appearances she is getting better, which she desperately needed. Britney didn't get as messed up as she is/was overnight and it's not going to go away overnight, either. But she is obviously working on it and is making progress. That does count for something.
There are lots worse "parents" running around Hollyweird. Since Britney had fired her PR people and mouthpieces, she didn't have anyone to run around covering up her antics and it was consistently splashed on the front page for all to see for fun and profit.
I was all for taking Britney's children from her for their safety. I was for muzzling her, taking her cars away from her and shunting her off to a medical facility for her own sake. But by the same token, I still have to give credit where it is due. To the courts who removed her children and continue to monitor their safety, who appointed her father as conservator, to the medical professionals who have worked to get her stabilized, to K-Fed for stepping up as a father in what was, and still is, an impossible nightmare of hounding, publicity and second-guessing.
It would take a pretty messed up individual to actually get enjoyment from witnessing such a tragedy and hope that it continues purely for the sake of their own entertainment.
