Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have settled their child custody case ... finally. Sources say K-Fed plans to show in court today but Brit will not.
Sources tell us the two have agreed to a custody arrangement that will give Brit more custody with their two kids by year's end. Currently, she sees Sean Preston and Jayden James three days a week with one overnight.
The settlement is a huge development because next month's trial is now kaput. We're told Brit, grandpa Jamie and K-Fed all wanted to avoid the expense, emotional wear and tear and media frenzy connected with a full-blown trial.
Interesting, we think -- Disso-queen Laura Wasser, who repped Brit from the get-go and was able to retain 50/50 custody even when her client was melting down, has been back on the case for only a month and the Brit ship is back afloat.
On K-Fed's side, his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, was able to turn one of the most reviled guys in the U.S. of A. into Daddy Dearest and win him primary custody. The lawyers will be in court Friday to present the deal to Commish Scott Gordon for his approval.
What a world.

Reported on today show is that Brit gave full custody to K-fed. Which is true???
More like she's giving him the opportunity to hang himself. he just wants the money that comes along with the kids.
Good plan for her. He too busy going here and their. maybe now he can pay his own bills.
I thought the idea was to regain custody???? Kinda disappointed,,expected her to completely turn her life around, including being a full-time mother (again). I'm sure K-Fed is happy...he'll continue living off of Britney's money!!! How sad!
I guess k Fed finally got what he wanted. He drove her crazy and got full custody. This was about jealously, revenge and money. She never harmed her boys. K fed and his slimy lawyer did a great job. Instead of Kevin working to help the mother of his kids he choose to use to as an opportunity to improve his self image and get public sympathy. The best interest of the boys is to be with their mother. If it wasnt for Britney, Kevin would be living in a trailer park and he still dosent work. Britney should have never married that man. Her life will never be the same again.
Eonline is reporting a very different story...saying Brit has agreed to KFed having sole custody.
Her pa only wants to exploit her and never cared about her getting her kids back...now he's got her to consent to KFed having sole custody. What a greedy grandpa.
I beleive she doesn't really want her kids...She would rather party and be single and motherless...How sad....
Her father is obviously behind this....he only wanted to use her and make as much money off of her as he could and the kids were in the way....now she can make her album and keep daddy on the payroll, which is what he wanted.
Now that she's signed away sole custody, she can forget about getting the kids back ever....her father is a greedy, nasty piece of work.

Despite how most of the Britney fans feel about K-Fed, there is no doubt he has been there for his kids, there are a lot of fathers who are MIA in this country. Her parents , sister and brother do not have a problem with K-Fed because he is not a bad person as the media has mad ehim out to be. Britney is a sick girl and needed help, which she is getting. I beleived,k-fed only fought for the kids because he never thought britney would have agreed to him having sole and legal custody of the kids.the pupose of the trial was for him basically to get more publicity,now the trial has been hatched,we will not here much about k-fed.No one exactly what is going on with Britney;however,we can only sympathised with her,because a mother will not give up her children with out something been totally off.I now have much respect for her,this was nothing but an act of love for her boys,and to also have k-fed hang.People can critizised him more especially he shows more interest in those two boys,and totally forget about his other two kids.It will take some time,but she will get full custody back of her children.Although Kaplan did a great job presenting k-fed,but a sleaz always a sleaz,k-fed wanted more money,the court will do to him as they did to fifty cents baby mama who went from getting 50 to 20 thousand a month.

I'm sorry, but she isn't getting help. She's getting worked....non-stop since dad took over, barely a day off. New album announced just yesterday.
This is not about "helping" brit, it's about Pa Spears helping himself.
Britney doesnt want her kids full time, she doesnt feel she can handle the responsibility!!!!
A lot of moms have problems handling their responsibilities, Britney is no different! Not because she is a rich celebrity makes her any different. She agreed to sole custody for K-Fed because that is what she wants!!!!
