I am from Traverse City, was at the TCFF and I live in Los Angeles. I am overwhelmed at the personal attacks that are voiced in the majority of the comments and find them sophomoric to say the least. Is anyone who read this blip and posted a comment aware of the reason she was present at this event? And if you did get that far through the two paragraph quip are you that socially unconscious to not at least comment on her work rather than her roots? I am constantly amazed at the blatant ignorance that infests the majority of Americans that I often wonder why more of us like Madonna, do not move to a move civilized country like England.

The two who identified themselves as living in Traverse City must be living under a rock. What MM has verbalized politically is not the impetus behind this film festival nor are his politics evident in it's forum. You should truly look at the benefits this man and the event have brought to your community not only economically but culturally as well.
