The Great

Cougar Hunt Lawsuit

9/10/2008 9:59 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

This is the greatest lawsuit we've seen all month -- maybe all year -- and it's all over three chicks who are pissed at being branded "cougars" on national television.

Let's start with the important information. For those unfamiliar with the term "cougar," it's defined as "a sexually cunning 35+ female who is on the hunt for a much younger energetic male," at least according to the lawsuit.

Now onto the controversy: Three women are furious after they went to a club called Chapter 8 in Agoura Hills -- SoCal -- back in 2007 and wound up being featured on a G4 program called "Attack of the Show" -- in a segment called "The Great Cougar Hunt."

According to the suit, the ladies were portrayed as "older women who were attempting to pick up younger men at Chapter Eight, which was described (on the show) as a 'world famous cougar hot spot.' The segment describes cougars as the easiest and most ravenous prey for younger men."

The cougars three respectable ladies claim they were filmed without giving consent, and swear they "were not attempting to meet or 'hunt' younger men, or any men for that matter, on the day the video segment was made."

They also thought it was important to put this line in the lawsuit: "In fact, Plaintiffs do not date younger men at all."

The threesome claims the show was so "highly outrageous and offensive," that they're suing G4 and the two hosts of the show for more than $1,000,000!!!!!

FYI -- nowhere in the lawsuit do the ladies ever mention how old they are -- information that could be vital to the outcome of this highly important, extremely monumental legal battle. Calls to G4 were not returned.

The moral of the story: You mess with the cougar ... you get the claws!

Im going to have to add this lawsuit to the "Oh My God, Another Person Trying To Get Rich Off Of Someone Else's Expense" just like the one where a lady and her son were trying to sue McDonalds because her son was fat. Im almost certain that these "Cougars" lol Im sorry but this is the first time that I have heard this phrase (I always thought that a cougar was a wild cat that lived in africa) but these ladies had to know what the Chapter 8 club was all about before they went there. Maybe they did get violated by being videoed without their consent BUT one million dollars is just way too much compensation. Sounds like to me their just looking for a retirement check.

Don't really need to read any of the postings, am sure it might be a waste of time because women are not going to admit that they have failed. Failed their families, failed their kids, failed themselves. It's horrible to see a caveman cartoon with a guy pulling a chick along behind him by the head of the hair, that certainly isn't the way it's supposed to be, but if EVER the thought, "give 'em an inch and they'll take 100 miles", it damn sure applies to the woman of today, who pretty much got her start back when her sorry ass mother and grandmother burned their bra and claimed their independence. Independence from what? Common Sense????? Women can work their asses off trying to be a man, sorry, you can't, you just don't have the balls to be one. There's a standard that was put into place at the beginning of time, women bring life into the world and they should be there to nurture it, BUT, you've abandoned that wonderful job, in fact many of you hate the thought of being a mother and wife even though you married and had a child and you're just screwing up society something horrible. At one point in time women basically kept that home fire burning and made sure their children were safe and cared for, while dad was out being stomped to death by a Mammoth. Then she still continued to care about her family and did her job even when dad managed to avoid the Mammoth stomping, the local Dinosaur races and headed out to the local bar to waste time and money he should have been spending on the family. The news today is about the girl on the inter net that's selling her Virginity. She's just one of Millions of girls that haven't even a clue what morality is and that's because their mothers didn't know what morality was and were unable to instill any into their daughters.

What is the big deal people?? Why can't we enjoy the energy and stamina of a younger man. We are in our prime and deserve to have a little fun. Here's a tip for young men: She won't be afraid to teach you a thing or two. And need some lessons. Here's a tip to older women: Discretion is key......and much more fun. Make sure you hunt with class. >''<

I'm a 49 yo woman, fairly hot for my age, not AT ALL interested in younger men...(they're pretty clueless) Give me a 45 yo or older, seasoned and well preserved man any day. I think the definition of cougars used above is a fantasy creation of younger men who are frustrated with all the high maintenance, know-nothing bimbos their own age and yearn for women like me. Truth is, we really don't want to be bothered hon until you get a few more years (and experience) beneath your belt (pun intended)!

So lets say I'm 50 y/o , male, good shape and good looking. Every so often just being "out there" whether that's the gym, beach, club etc. I land a 25'ish y/o chic. Instantly I'm a 1. Dirty old man 2. Pervert 3. Cradle robber and according to Bill O. a pervert and probably a molester. Double standard? Really? Do the "cougar" stereotypes actively pursue young guys for money?? Their stature in social circles? No, just a good strong back.

Any women over the age of 35 who are going out to night clubs should be glad to get any kind of attention at all. They're obviously looking for a man, and money, and this lawsuit makes it clear. They just really need to get laid.
