Mommy Pics of Brit's Sis Trigger Criminal Probe

9/22/2008 5:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

A stolen picture of Jamie Lynn Spears breast feeding her baby has sparked a federal child pornography investigation.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ federal and local authorities are on the hunt for someone peddling 12 pics of Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn, daughter Maddie and baby daddy Casey Aldridge. One of the pictures shows Jamie Lynn breast feeding Maddie -- Jamie Lynn's left breast is exposed.

The pics were taken on Casey's digital camera. We're told he took the camera card to his local Wal-Mart in Louisiana for copies. Law enforcement believes someone at the Wal-Mart may have made extra copies, then tried selling them.

Because Jamie Lynn is a minor, selling the pics -- or buying them -- could constitute a violation of federal laws prohibiting child pornography. Peddling pictures of a minor's breast -- even if not taken for sexual purposes -- could land the seller and the buyer in federal prison if they are marketed across state lines for the purpose of being lurid. Also, anyone purchasing the pics could be prosecuted for the crime of receiving stolen property.

Other pics in the set include Britney holding the baby and one of Jamie Lynn, Britney, Bryan (Brit's bro), Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears around Jamie Lynn's hospital bed. There are also pics of Maddie by herself, and there's a picture of Jamie Lynn in a negligee holding the baby.

Authorities are trying to find the man who is attempting to sell the photos. In addition, we're told Britney's lawyers are thinking about going after Wal-Mart for the alleged security breach.

UPDATE: Wal-Mart tells TMZ, "We saw the story on the wires and it's news to us too. We'll of course investigate what, if anything, has happened here."

Daddy wants some of the pie too.

A pic of a 17 year old breast feeding her baby is NOT child porn. Damn, ever watch National Geographic? If the photos were indeed stolen and used for capitol gain then it would be against the law but no court in this country will convict someone of trafficking in child porn when they are selling pics of a 17 year old mother feeding her child. Has to be sexually suggestive to constitute child porn and, althou some perv might find it arousing, the pic wasn't taken, stolen or sold for that purpose. "Intent" has to be proven. Only "intent" was to make money off a picture of someone famous breastfeeding her daughter. More proof of how stupid the Spears clan is including the new daddy of the baby. Taking pics like that to Wal-mart to be developed? Guess he never watched "One Hour Photo"--STUPID.

Wait wait wait. It said that SELLING the pictures could constitute a violation of child pornography laws. As of the taking of the pictures, isn't she still underage? Are they saying that TAKING pictures of an underage girls breasts isn't illegal, but selling them is? I mean, shouldn't Casey Aldridge be under fire for taking pictures of the exposed breast of an underage girl? Just like he should have been prosecuted for having sex with a minor? Why are authorities going after everybody except him? Has he not violated laws? I think he has. So many other young men are being put in prison and branded as sex offenders for life for having consensual sex inside relationships and this guy gets off free and clear? Wow.

Seriously, If I found out that my pictures were being shared and bought, I would freak out too. So,for those who think it was, either, Jamie lynn or Casey fault for being rich and not owning their own printer. Get a clue! Come on, if it was you in their shoes,,,you would feel the same way.

Wal-Mart needs to pay more attention to their employees needs. Health insurance and wages would help them to be more honest workers. Since everything sold in Wal-Mart is made outside the United States in factories that exploit children, It is no wonder that the exploited employee at Wal-Mart needed to make ends meet by selling Spears picture.

I am sitting reading these posts, and thinking wow. I mean what have we as a society come to. We condemn those who shop at Walmart, we condemn someone for taking pictures of a precious moment, and we are quick to judge a family we do not know. See most of you are yelling Casey, and no one thinks wow he stayed. He's there participating. He's there for his Child. Or poor Jaime Lynn, she's trailer trash skank according to most of you all. Ever thought that they could be your family. If this was your family would you be so quick to judge. Or does the fact the have money make them easy prey for every one to cast judgement. She was having a private moment with her family. A moment that almost every mom has with her family. So he went to Walmart, a Walmart they probably have shopped at lots of times, and made a decision that should not have endagered that privacy. We have so many people who have lost their morals and objectives these days. And finally as for the charges because he is older, Casey is not that much older than Jaime. And let me tell you, this happens all over the US. Only people that are naive about this topic are screaming stat rape. Please, they had been dating and it was consensual. It's like the senior dating the sophomore in high school. It's not like hes is a great deal older. So before we all cast stones at a family we don't even know. Maybe we should all start looking in our familes, friends, and close ones. You might just find the same things happen there, they just don't have papparazi following them everywhere.

I think it is OK to steal, as long as you steal from the rich. By extension, if unflattering photos are stolen from someone but you don't like that person - then what's the big deal? OF COURSE, hacking someone's e-mail account is OK too - especially if they meet the first two requirements AND they are Republican (two strikes in one!) and they are conservative.

What a bunch of losers to write some of the things I have seen here. Does not matter where they took the camera, the people that had the pictures are responsible that they are kept at the facility and not shown to anyone. Certainly not sold. As for the White trash comments.....Visit and live in the South before you make your stupid comments because what you say and how you say it certainly shows your ignorance of good Southern People.
As for these sisters, it is old news, they have both held jobs (i suspect more than 1/2 of you writing in have not ever worked), they are just trying to move on with their lives.
Please read what you write before you hit add comments, not only are you showing you tremendous amount of ignorance but this is what stupid people do to feed their addiction to "stars" and you might try getting a hobby that is beneficial to your boredom then you sit and write here like I do because once again I have paid my debt to society and that gives me the freedom to have the time to write and goof off with crap like this. Have a wonderful day, get a life and God Bless you.

I agree with O'Reilly and Hannity that in this family it is most definitely the fault of the parents that they have an underage daughter producing grandchildren. It is disgusting that libs don't care that children are making babies. Why can't they choose good role models as parents, like maybe a woman who has meteorically risen to be the GOP VP nominee. She is a good caring mother.

Why do people keep defending Casey's decision to take his pictures to walmart for developing? It's ok to take pictures for developing at a store rather than at home, but a photo of a girl baring her breasts? And you are afraid of the public seeing it? Yeah, you should be smart enough to leave that one at home on the computer.

It's not the issue of the baby breast feeding that is being considered child porn. It is the fact that Jamie Lynne is under 18 and therefore considered a minor. Her left breast was exposed in the picture. That is what is being considered child porn.
