Paul was a great actor. Go back & watch one of my favorites "The Long Hot Summer" . Wow what a film.

Here is the FYI people.... Paul was married to Jackie Witte & had 3 (Count 'em) 3 children under 5 yrs old when he was filming the Long Hot Summer & "Fell" in lust with his co-star Joanne Woodward & left Jackie & his 3 children.

HE LEFT HIS WIFE & 3YOUNG CHILDREN & HOOKED UP WITH WOODWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Cow!

Long live Paul!!! His legend will live on forever.

One of the true Hollywood gentleman and also a true love story. And such a generous man. May he rest in peace and may his family find solace in the fact that he was loved by so many.

It's just so sad. There is no actor in this day and age who comes close to Paul Newman's perfection. He was truly one of a kind, appealing to all generations. The story of his marriage to Joanne Woodward is truly inspiring. SO SAD.

My deepest sympathy to the family. He was such a fine actor and person. RIP Paul. Thanks for the many gifts you gave the world.

How very sad. We loved that he chose our state to call home. You could always find him in places such as Lime Rock Park doing the other thing that he loved....racing cars. I think Sally Field said it best "God sometimes creates perfect people, Paul Newman was one of them." May god bless him and his family.

CLASS ACT - all the way!!! What a phenomenal man! One of the most generous souls that ever lived! Joanne must be totally lost - they were together so long! He will be sorely missed. I still watch every single movie of his whenever it is on and they are still great. Probably one of the best, if not the best, actors and humanitarians ever!! God bless you Paul - you will never be forgotten!

i am so sad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my sympathy to joanne and all the relatives. all his movies were the best. you can watch them over and over and still enjoy them especially the early one with joanne. never boring !!!!!!!!!!!! my friend went to the same school in vermont with nell. nell it was the girl from newton, ma. please keep the food and camps for children going !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This man was the best when it comes to being an actor and a normal human, and all you can come up with is he was an"ol white fart. You on the other hand are just an ignorant jackass. Try getting an education. Eminem and Fitty cent have nothing on Mr. Newman. And Brad Pitt is just a prettyboy actor who has a long way to go to reach Paul Newman's status. Words can't express what he and his wife meant to me over my lifetime. I will not go there but prayers to Joanne and his daughters!!!!!
