After months of closed-door court meetings -- all of Heath Ledger's estimated $20 mil estate will go to his 2-year old daughter Matilda Rose.
According to news reports, Heath's dad Kim Ledger says the will originally had all the assets divided up to his parents and sisters, but Heath's family thought the right thing to do was to give it all up -- for the benefit of Matilda.
Heath Ledger died of an accidental prescription pill overdose in January.

Mark Twain said, Do the right thing and people will be amazed. Heath's family is amazing and unbelievably selfish.
That's beautiful. If protected and invested correctly, she will have a very nice nest egg when she turns 18.
They family sounds like decent people despite what was said about them in the press. They did what their son would have wanted.
I thought I heard a report also, that the various actors who finished up his role in the movie he was filming at the time of his death, were donating all their "pay" to Heaths daughter? Is this correct? Thought that was pretty cool also, if true.
His family looked in their hearts and knew that's what he really would have wanted. God bless 'em. Can't wait to watch that little girl grow over the years. At least we have a piece of Heath left.
this is the right thing to do in a case like this! this shows that this family is a very good and loving family...
respect!!!
They have a lot of CLASS! Most families fight over much less money than his $20 mil. VERY CLASSY FAM.
Wow...that's impressive. Clearly his family is focused and know what's most important: caring for the fatherless child. GOOD people.
I think it's wonderful. Nice to see people care about someone else rather than themselves. Nice to know they put aside all of thier issues for the sake of the child. Not sure what she would do with $20 million dollars but I guess it work.
now that's a Family. one we should all be so lucky to share our lives with...
There is something more important than money..............................love.
