If there is anybody here on this board Black, White, Brown that says they haven't uttered a racial epitath in their lifetime is a lair, or too young to remember. Plain and simple. It doesn't take much in the way of balls or integtrity to post some of the blather I see here. MIchael Richards made a mistake, one he pays for daily, both personally and mentally. He can't work, he can't get out or go anywhere, and is ridiculed by those that call themselves the same thing.
Forgiveness is usually begged by those that have transgressed. He did for a while on the round of talk shows, but I don't blame him if he never begs again. There is too much hypocricy in America, "don't call me that, but I will if I please". It's wrong now, and it will be wrong in the future.
If you want people to clean their houses of stuff like this, start with your own.
#11 i am a black women and am wth u 110%u are so right it is a double standard i thnk we black people should be accountable for making jokes about whites i don't think it s fair. and yes i cant stand tha creep chris rock ether and i think there is noone more racist then him as a matter fact i think black people are more racist then anyone other race. i am with u WHere is a white Al sharpton?
I would vote this man for President. You probably think I'm kidding. I'm not kidding. You Californian voter schumcks actually voted to recall Gray Davis only to put Arnold Schwartzeneger in office and you don't think Richards would be a good president? I think he'd be a fine president. I'd trust him more than anyone else that's on the ballot, that's for damn sure.
He should have never tried going back to stand up. That was his first mistake. He's just not funny that way.
46. Sharpton was quoted as saying to an audience at Kean College in 1994 that, âWhite folks was in caves while we was building empires ... We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.â[
During 2007, Sharpton was accused of bigotry for comments he made on May 7, 2007, concerning presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his religion, Mormonism:
"As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don't worry about that; that's a temporary situation."[
During the 1984 presidential campaign of Jesse Jackson, Jackson referred to New York City as "Hymietown" in a discussion with a black reporter. Though Jackson thought he was speaking off the record, the reporter printed the quote. Jackson was widely criticized for the slur and received numerous death threats,[21] leading Farrakhan to announce, "If you harm this brother, it'll be the last one you ever harm.
âItâs time for us to come together. Itâs time for us to rebuild New Orleans â the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans,â the mayor said. âThis city will be a majority African American city. Itâs the way God wants it to be. You canât have New Orleans no other way. It wouldnât be New Orleans.â
BTW if Osama Hussein wins the election it will be because the white people voted for him so don't act like it's some big black movement because that man is whiter than me and i'm whiter than Casper.
Since he will never escape the stand up debacle he might as well embrace it. He should do a taped stand up
routine were every other word is bleeped out. One of the previous posters was right; He should have never done
stand up comedy in the first place.
This statement attached to this is totally uncalled for and racist! Does someone at TMZ check these before they go out on the site? You guys are like teenagers in high school talking about people but not saying it to there face. Bunch of morons who have pathetic lives, work for TMZ.
omg i loooove kramer.. i mean that racist meltdown he had was horrible and it broke my heart.. but i hope he regrets it annd hes such a cutie pie..
What's with all the people saying Michael Richards has done nothing since Seinfeld? Idiots! He is an amazing comedian and has been doing stand up work and also appeared in many TV shows as well as movies. He is incredibly talented, what talent do you have? I bet you've never starred in a hit TV show and won an AWARD for it so get over yourselves. Sure, he slipped up and said some nasty things on stage but people should have some respect not to heckle someone who is performing for their entertainment! I agree with the people talking about double standards when it comes to racism, it's okay for black people to say horrible and racist things about white people but not okay for white people to say anything remotely derogatory towards black people! Pfft... white people put up with racist remarks but oh my god us white people are the worst people ever if we say something about a black person. Ridiculous, shove your double standards up your ass!
