Judge to Hayden's Dad: Try Not to Hit Your Wife

If you need a judge to tell you not to beat up your wife, it's time to re-evaluate things.

An order of protection was issued today against Alan Panettiere that orders him not to "harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk [or] molest" his wife Lesley.

Panettiere was at court today (but not actually in the court room) over misdemeanor battery charges stemming from an alleged fight with his wife back in August.

The actual arraignment was postponed until December 11 and he will remain free on $50,000 bail. If convicted, Papa Panettire could get a year in jail.

9. maybe she was smackin' him around too. you just don't know in a divorce. i was in an verbally abuse relationship once. i just can't imagine what it would be like having the media involved as well.
