Lane Garrison -- Prison Ain't His Only Problem

I am a very close and personal friend of one of the children in the accident. I feel that is my need for a few facts to be known on this particular case. All three of those children were picked up at a grocery store while purchasing juice early on a Friday night. Mr. Garrison introduced himself with all the *glitter* of a Hollywood Star and invited those girls to a party that NO girl in Hollywood would say no to. The boy who was killed in this case went along with the girls to chaperon and make sure that they would be ok. His seat belt was on, but the impact of the crash is what killed the poor boy. The two girls are permanently damaged for the rest of their lives. Legal matters "OBVIOUSLY" were handled immediately following relief of shock and dealing with health issues. Mr. Garrison is a well known up and coming actor at that time... Can anyone reading this article deny me the fact that Mr. Garrison could have gad ANY woman in Los Angeles or around the world besides these two young girls. He purposely chose these young ladies as his taste for the evening... He was the adult. He was driving the vehicle. He could have chose to stop this episode at any time. He is responsible for that boys life being lost. Were he not a Hollywood "star" with the funds for an Immoral defense He would be doing a 25-life sentence in prison as do most criminals who KILL someone with intent. (being drunk behind the wheel of a vehicle) Mr. Garrison should not only be doing a lot more then 40 months (in a Kushie Los Angeles Spa) but he should be suffering in a maximum security penitentiary with a overzealous 400lb room mate. Not only that, it is my firm and fair belief because I was raised by good parents, that every single penny of Mr. Garrison's assets, funds, and or anything else monetarily attachable should be given to these children and their families who are still suffering because of his mistakes. In America if you do the crime, YOU DO THE TIME!!!

Hey #17 do you really think any amount of money can make up for the death of a child?

To #18. From #17..... Should the parents have to deal with the loss, psychological affects, thousands in funeral bills, etc, etc. When this was not their doing? Of course not. I'm sure as with most people, your mother and father raised you correctly. A parent losing their child is supposed to be the most horrible pain there is. Should these people lose their home, their car, their lives and everything else as well as their son? Or when one is responsible for an accident, does said one pay for his mistake? I am sure that paying for the hospital bills, funeral cots, etc. is not even the beginning minor compensation for these poor individuals. Of course there is no dollar value for the loss of a life, but ridiculous questions, get ridiculous answers....

Of course, we are such a lawsuit-mad society. My understanding was the the young ones INVITED Lane to the party, got into the car willingly, already intoxicated, and asked to be taken to the liquor store.

Mom and Dad, but wasn't it your JOB, YOUR LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY, to take care of your children?

If it is your understanding that Lane was INVITED to the party by two 15yr old girls that were already intoxicated as you allege. You are wrong. Was it wise and prudent thinking on the behalf of Mr. garrison to go to a party with drunken teenage girls and risk his career and life and finances to party with young ladies instead of women his own age. Oh and by the way the fact is, that Mr. garrison was operating the vehicle, Mr.Garrison himself was intoxicated and is to be held responsible for this horrendous situation. And these are not the first two teenage girls to sneak away from their parents on a Friday night... Please if anyone chooses to comment on this particular article, PLEASE give fact based or anything besides psycho babble and excuses for this disgraceful piece of spam..

OK people it's time that everyone begins to take responsibility for their own actions. In our crazy US legal system a person is a "child" one day an d an adult the next what sense doe sthat make? 18-20 year old are mature enough to be sent to the middle East to kill or be killed but not mature enough to handle alcohol according to our law. When you go to Europe you would be amazed to see teens at clubs and all drinking legally some wisely and sensibly and some not. It is not like we are talking 9 or 10 year old children here. Lane made a bad choice, the teens made a bad choice, the parents obviously did not make guide their son enough to make good choices or take responsibility for the bad ones he made. I can say this due to my own experience. A friend allowedsome college age students to drink at his house later that night they went off and one of them fell to his death while climbing a height where no one should ever be. My friend was punished by the legal system which causeed his career to be destroyed and later was sued by the parents who won a huge settlement. Fast forward some years later and these parents bought their other son a truck for his eighteenth birthday. They told him to be careful since they knew he had been an underaged drinker a number times in the past and yet within a week this son had a drunk driving accident which kiilded his sixteen year old passenger. Now they are the ones looking for sympathy and forgiveness and hoping that they will not be taken for all they are worth by the family who lost their son . Aa they say karma often wins in the end.

Nice wording, you should be a lawyer. No one PUT any children in the car. 3 older teenagers willingly went with him.

Not that I am taking up for the loser. But to exaggerate the happenstance makes you slimy too.

Lane cannot personally comment on the accident, but I can, so I'll do it for him and hopefully set the record straight as far as the facts go.

Jordan you say that you feel the need for a few facts to be known. Well here goes, I hate to burst your bubble but your facts are completely WRONG!

Firstly, do you really believe that the 'kids' were at the store buying juice? The truth of the matter is that they were waiting outside asking complete strangers to buy them vodka. They asked Lane and yes he showed a lapse of judgement and made the poor choice of purchasing it for them with their own money not his. Please bear in mind that if Lane had refused they would simply have got someone else to purchase the liquor for them.

After buying the vodka he intended on just giving them the bottle and going home alone. However the 'kids' insisted he went to a party with them even after he told them no several times! They persisted until he made a further unwise decision and gave in.

At the party the bottle of vodka was shared between eight people each of whom consumed several shots. The 'kids' then asked Lane to go get more liquor and as he was leaving (on his own) Chen, Michelle & Vahaugn said they wanted to accompany him and proceeded to get into Lane's Land Rover of their own free will and not at Lane's request!

Vahaugn did NOT put his seat belt on. This can be verified in the police reports.

Obviously Lane made some bad mistakes and showed extremely poor judgement. Nobody is denying that, least of all himself. But everyone involved played their parts, including the three 'kids'. Lane has admitted his responsibility and faced up to his punishment like a man.

So, #17 don't try to put all the blame on Lane's shoulders. And before you go releasing your own 'yellow journalism' make sure you get your facts straight!

I'd also like to point out that CCI - Tehachapi state prison is by no stretch of the imagination 'some kushie Los Angeles Spa' as you would soon find out if you were ever unfortunate enough to be sent here!

I think its time we all grow up out there. I have read all your opinions and I have to say that are shallow as hell. And I do not care if you bash my comments on my statement. If you do not agree with me, then your comment means very little to me. Be gone with it. It would, I am sure, be a comment that was most likely passed down by someone else that felt the same way as you. But I am not here to pass judgment on Lane and neither should you. He made a mistake that night in question. And contrary if what all those rumors are about him being in prison and having it "easy", having it made because he is a celebrity, But most importantly, I want everyone one to understand that Lane is in a Maximum Security Level Prison. I am not defending what he did, but being in the same place as he is, I understand what he is going through. No, he is not living the Hollywood Glamor. So all of you ridiculous people out there that think he is lounging around and having the Corrective Officers bring him meals on a silver platter is nothing but fantasy and bull crap. There is no Prison in the world that would do that. And don't anyone date reference Lane with Paris Hilton. She spent a few days in a celebrity joint. Not the real thing. Lane is in a Maximum Security Level in California.
Lane does not have all the privileges that you may think he does.
This is where I challenge you to prove me wrong. And I know you cannot. Because I know the law and have been through it in Arizona. No, I have not faced the same charge as Lane, but I know what is fair and what is not in Prison.
First, He is is not getting special treatment. All Prisoners are treated the same. Think about it, if he was treated "Celebrity Style" he would be out already. But yet he is not.
Second, regardless of what you all think about Prison LIfe, there is a cap off of how much commissary that you can purchase on a weekly basis for personal hygiene, food, and other personal affects, (clothing, etc)
Depending on the Prison itself and the security level, the cap off the price on how much an inmate can purchase during commissary. Lane is not different from any other inmate. I am sure he is given the basic rules and guidelines per any other inmate on his level of security.
I don't think he is living high in mighty at this time. Sharing his sympathy, he is probably very depressed and is adjusting to the rules of his surroundings most every day.
This is real life. Not television as you know his best on. I am very close on this subject because I have there with him. Maybe a bit different. I have had my share of DUI's. But keep in mind, I am sure most of you readers on this right now are guilty of being behind the wheel of your car, drunk, and got away with getting yourself home without being pulled over bu the cops.
Ok, Again, Lane was caught and he made a mistake. Main point here, he is not having it through this with body guards and the red carpet treatment.

For beginners, you have no privacy. Everyone knows your business no matter what?
You cannot even take a shower without anyone knowing it or staring at you.

(Which brings me to another quick rumor) Lane is not gay. He does not have a boyfriend in prison. (according to another reliable source) He is trying to survive. That is what anyone wants to do that is sincerely sorry for their crime that has to spend day to day thinking about what they did.

Lane was an up and coming celebrity, he could have had any female he wanted in Hollywood, we need to once and all need to admit all those that want to criticize him, and all the prison stereotypes, he does not have any male relationships in prison. He had very close mates that handle much of his public letters and correspondence.

Lane does not receive any special treatment. Once again, he is in lock up in a Maximum Facility and most of the rumor going on about him in the internet are unfounded.

Lane obey's a daily schedule day to night.

Let me introduce myself. I am an advocate in the Prison System. I know what happen in "The Real World" behind the bars and regardless of what fantasy you all must think, believe me, Lane is getting the maximum punishment.

I understand I live in the State of Arizona, but I will tell you right now, being a victim of the legal system myself, and also an officer of the courts here....I have seen criminals here in Arizona spending less time for more serious crimes than Lane in California.

The rumors about Lane, the rumors about the people that he were with up to that night of the accident, need to stop. There was no malicious. I will challenge anyone that wants to say something otherwise. But first you have to pass the my faith detector test
