A London tabloid admits they told a false story about Josh Hartnett and a steamy encounter in a hotel there, and today he's 20,000 pounds richer.
The Daily Mirror will have to shell out around $30,000 to Josh in libel damages. The paper's lawyer acknowledged a story they ran about Hartnett having sex in a library at the Soho Hotel was false, and apologized for any "distress, hurt and embarrassment" it caused.
Josh is giving the money to charity.

(Page 1 of 1)Haha, good for Josh. I don't mind paparazzi and some level of invasion of privacy, but libel and false reports are just bad news. Hope that will scare other tabloids off and steer clear of false, made up stories...at least keep 51% of the stories truth! lol
yummi26 - old school forever!!!:
Damages? If anything it enhanced his popularity. Go figure...
ya...i kinda like the idea of him having wild crazy sex in the library...oh well...at least it's going to charity !!!
Can't stand Harttnett or that skank Scarlett Johannsen he was doing for a whie.
But tabloids and their damn fabricated stories should be sued much more than they are.
The general publlic is not very discerning and seems to believe everything they see in print, tabloid lies can be very hurtful and damaging.
I'd meet him in the library anytime and lick his sweeet hairless @$$ IN & OUT all day long!
One of the worst actors in the entire world.....just awful....really.
