4. I hope this doesn't happen to all "hot" veterinarians, That's a damn shame. The dollar store has lots of face products, but being sober is the biggest thing needed here.

9. There's a problem: Is he going to be under the new Illinois law that was just enacted Jan 09?

Effective January 1, 2009, first-offender drivers arrested in Illinois for DUI will be required to install a breath alcohol interlock ignition device (BAIID) in their cars, or wear a alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet (SCRAM) during a 6 to 12 month period, unless they successfully beat the Illinois DUI Statutory Suspension. The cost of the devices, ranging from $750.00 to $4500.00 dollars, will be paid by the arrested person.

10. Big, and I mean very big, area for strip clubs. Bet Sam was tipping a few what watching the college girls shake their money maker at the Kappa Kabana--full liquor and totaly nude. The "Down State" clubs are a lot more wild than any Chicago club. Just ask Sam!

11. If this is his first ever offense, a good lawyer may be able to get the charge reduced to "reckless operation." His BAC will be a problem, as it is not as though he was slightly over the limit. Isn't he Jessica Lange's long-time companion?

12. Alcohol + old age = Sam Shepard's mug shot. Even the best of them have some of the worst mug shots. Note to celebs: if you are going to drink and drive, bring your makeup artists with you.

13. OoooooNooooo! Nice try, but too bad it is not a big area for strip clubs, not real sure where you are getting that info. The one you named in Kappa is pretty much it, and it is outside of town a while. There is another one about 45 minutes away, but that is pretty much it. Trust me.....

Ken, Sam blew almost twice the legal limit and has his (very bad) mug shot distributed for all the world to see. And you decide that whether he is going to be charged under a 2008 law or 2009 law is the "problem"? You start your post with "There's a problem:" then you go on to bore us with your inane knowledge of Illinois law. Can you tell me what possible element in what you said prompted you to determine that IT is, in fact, THE actual problem of the now infamous "There's a problem:" statement?

So, what is it, Ken? You say "There's a problem:" As determined by you, which part of all of what you wrote is THE problem? You seem quite troubled about this, since you label it a problem, so which one is it? Is it the BAIID that has you so concerned? Is it the SCRAM? Are you concerned that Sam can't afford the $750-$4,500 fee for the device?

You know, Ken, I think whatever it is that Sam is stuck with, if any at all, that he is going to be ok, so I don't think you should worry yourself so much with Sam's "problem".

Or, you know, it could be that you aren't concerned about Sam's "problem" at all. Maybe it could be that you just had all of that useless, pointless, uninteresting information in your head and you just wet yourself at the opportunity you never thought you'd ever have to dazzle the world all with your thorough, up-to-date, hot-off-the-press, up-to-the-minute knowledge of Illinois DUI law and so you took the opportunity, and to make it seem relevant and important, you decided that - OMG - now it is a PROBLEM!

OMG, which law will it be? 2008 or 2009? Sam's very life hangs in the balance.

Ken, the whole world owes you a debt of gratitude for finding that law and pointing out to Sam the problem. Just think of what could have happened!

15. Joan, your message was worse than the person's you were trying to bash. I wish I could get the 30 seconds back it took me to decipher your message.

allicat is right ~ BloNo is not the place for strip clubs. You have to go to Kappa or Peoria (I'm assuming allicat is referring to Big Al's). And Lovejac23 -- technically, Bloomington is also a college town - have you forgotten about IWU? Two four-year universities, and two community colleges, plus plenty of bars = great city/town to live in.
