Barkley's DUI Means He's MIA From TNT

Charles BarkleyIt was only a matter of time until Charles Barkley's DUI arrest had serious repercussions for the NBA star.

Barkley will take a leave of absence from TNT for a minimum of several weeks with no return date set, a source told the AP. David Levy, president of TNT Sports, released a statement that reads in part, "When I spoke with Charles, he was apologetic for the events that transpired and it was obvious he understands the significance of the situation. This is an important time for Charles as he deals with the legal and personal issues that confront him. Charles is a valued part of the Turner Sports organization and we are concerned for his well-being."

It was revealed today Barkley had a blood alcohol level of .149 -- nearly twice the legal limit in Arizona.

4. The DUI pop was bad enough but then he couldn't shut his trap about getting a phenomenal BJ to the cops - who of which he probably didn't figure the cops would go running their mouths to everyone.... This is why lawyers always always always tell you to not say a damn thing to the friggen po po.

Lesson to us all - If you been drinking and need to get a late night hummer...... Take a Cab !!!

5. It's about time this fat POS gets called on his antics. I am amazed that TNT actually pays this idiot to pontificate, as if there were people who hang on his every moronic utterance. And to think he was actually thinking about running for governor of Alabama - they are dumb down there but not that dumb!

From spitting at children courtside to showing up hung over before a playoff game, this jerk is and always was a disgrace.
