Jennifer Hudson certainly isn't taking the gradual approach to coming back after enduring the murder of her mother, brother, and nephew.
The NFL confirms Hudson will be singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Feb. 1, marking her first appearance in public since the killings last fall. Then, she'll sing at the Grammys' MusiCares event a few days later.

Why is it so amazing when famous people go back to work after a tragedy? Hello- every single person goes back to work or school two days later. Celebs have tons of time off. Sad very sad but get back to work like the rest of us.
Is her sister, the little boys mom still laughing and chatting on Myspace about her love of man meat?
non-sympathy person, she is an example of a person rising from the world she came from for better. It is not her fault what happened to her family. Get the story right before showing harshness. Remember the words What goes around comes around. Light a flame under that frozen heart.
It will be great to have Jennifer back doing what she does best! Yes, we all have to move on after a loss or even tragegy, but this was a triple homicide and she is a star in a fish bowl called Hollywood.
Come on back and rock our worlds Jennifer!
@reallyirked
No one said it was amazing and most people know the pain of of loss but very few of us will ever endure, in our lives, the type of loss this talented woman has suffered. Oh, and reallyirked,
not everyone returns to work in a couple of days, not everyone can and it's not a money issue but a emotional one.
who cares. she's too much of a diva. her fifteen minutes are up.
Jennifer, you are in my deepest prayers, I can't imagine how you feel ...... but justice in it's own way has prevailed as the monster responsible is behind bars. Another prayer is that he stays in jail for the rest of his natural like.
Sorrowfully,
A Big Fan
Can't she start off slow like with an interview with Barbara Walters or Oprah? Why does she have to go for the high profile big sympathy play at the Super Bowl? And don't tell me she didn't know what was going on in that house in Englewood.
You all are some cold hearted, racists son of bitches on here! This woman lost three memebers of her family, she is trying to do better in her life, trying to rise above the madness. And here you all are bashing her! It's 2009, you all need to get a damn clue! Damn ignorant idiots!
