I would like to think that the one CHANGE that "his highness" would be responsible for is a "CHANGE" in the behavior of black people.
This means:
1. Education comes first
2. Hard work is good for you
3. If you can't support the kids, STOP having them. There are plenty of tree stumps that you could service.
4. Let's give up the whole "Ebonics" thing. Even your "relatives" in Africa speak better than you do.
5. Stop glorifiying things (gold teeth, bling, etc.) and people (see Vick, Michael) that do not warrant glorificaiton.
If you can accomplish all five -- WELCOME TO THE 21st CENTURY!
Props to #17!
Unfortunately, black people are lagging behind virtually every other race in skills that are useful in today's global economy. Hopefully black people -- and while we are it, let's bury the term "African-American" along with the N-word -- view Obama as a positive role model and emulate him.
@ 17 -- Ain't no way us blacks are givin' up AA -- I ain't talkin' about Akaholiks Anoymous, I is talking about Afirmitive Ackshun. Just 'cause we got a black --no, AFRICAN-AMERICAN -- in da "House", don't means we gonna stop lookin fo dat free lunch.
It's what we be all about.
