Answer: The paps.
Larry Hagman, the dude who played J.R. Ewing on "Dallas," brought his shotgun to LAX -- but unlike Dennis Farina, this guy actually decided to let security know about it when he checked in.

(Page 1 of 1)Just shows you that you dont have to have brains tobe rich and a celebrity.
I cant believe they feel the need to EXPLAIN who Larry Hagman is. Are Americans that dumb? Or am I that old??
What TV sitcom was he on, before Dallas? Can anybody name, wthout goggling it?
#4 I dream of Jeanie
I heard the guy is a real crank to be around, and going back 30 some years when he quit smoking he wouldnt dare allow anyone to come near him with a lit butt and would go so far as to knock it out their mouth....figures, the son of Mary Martin, he grew up a spoiled little boy and than developed a terrible terrible drinking problem. I'm surprised he's still alive with all that anger inside of him.
Anyone on here ever meet him, share your sad tale...
Very good. I dream of Jeanie is the correct answer. He switched from Alcohol to Pot for awhile. Supposed to be on the wagon for both. He has had alot of health issues to his drinking and lifestyles choices. He is also a bonafide nutcase. He was also supposed to have been a nudist.
Again and again and again UNTILL the back row became the front row and they ~ALL still sucked!!.
I Will Take Being Born White Any Day - Thats Worth Much More To Me, #6:
As I recall, another fun fact about this yahoo has something to do with his not speaking - *at all* - on Sundays (or maybe Sat. and Sun.?) for years. But at any rate, he's a study.
No talking on Sundays huh? Wow, this nutjob is out there---and he's walking around and flying with a shotgun? Dang, guess they dont do background checks where he buys his weapons.
Scary
How exactly is what he was doing dumb or crazy? The guy was going hunting in Texas. Makes sense to bring a gun, and it IS legal as checked baggage. What's the problem?
I have met Larry Hagman many times, and while he is certainly a character, he's not crazy. He is also one of the nicest guys I have ever met!
He started not speaking on Sundays when he lost his voice during his I Dream of Jeannie days. If you have seen the show, he yells a lot :) He was resting his voice, since he needed it to make a living. He stopped the no speaking habit sometime in the 1990s, since he wasn't working much anymore.
I cant believe all the negative comments posted here about Larry Hagman. This guy is one of the finest actors around. He has brought so much joy through the characters of Major Nelson (I Dream of Jeannie) and J.R. Ewing (Dallas). Why don't you guys grow up. No star in Hollywood leads a normal life, the two just dont go hand in hand. But the guy has finely crafted his art. So give him his props, and stop trying to make a big deal out of nothing!
