Emotional/Verbal abuse usually starts first and beats the recipient down so much that by the time the hitting starts, they are so ensconced in the relationship, they almost believe they deserve it. If your man (or woman) is mean to you, cuts you down, yells at you, gangs up on you, tries to control how much you talk when out with others, looses their temper and throws tantrums and esp. if they always are the victim in any situation, be very, very careful. Your best bet is get out while the getting is good. He DOES NOT LOVE YOU, he loves himself.
The dingbat who doesn't know if she would call the cops is probably already being abused.
you people are idiots, she didn't say she would let a man beat her. Maybe instead of calling the cops she'd pull a Waiting to Exhale and f*ck all his stuff up and chop off his penis while he was sleeping.
Why is everyone saying a man should never hit a woman? No one should be allowed to hit anyone.I guess we really are living in a double-standard society. If you are a woman and don't want a man hitting you common sense tells you not to hit him.men have anger levels too.If Rihanna was trying to put her hands on him first then she is obviously not a lady, cause ladies don't fight men.You never touch a man physically unless you are defending yourself. The rule should apply to both sexes.if I was a man I wouldn't tolereate a woman hitting me.I would simply hit her back so she would get the message you have no right to put your hands on me cause you obviously think you are man enough to hit me I'll hit you back.Don't hit a man if you don't want to get hit by one.The only reason why people are defending her is because she is Rihanna and she is the girl everyone finds attractive.yes it's sad but start worrying about your own daughters, girlfriends or mothers cause Robyn isn't one of them.if she got hit it is because she provoked him and she should know better.
A lot of posters are saying that Rihanna was the "crazy one in the relationship" and that's why so many celebrities are not coming out to speak out against how Chris beat her so severely (kinda like she asked for it or something). I just don't understand why he didn't have any bruises or bite marks on HIM if that is indeed the case. From the pictures that I saw, it looked like a very one-sided fight and Rihanna defineately did not have the upper hand. So seems like Chris had the upper hand in the fight and did way more than just protect himself from her..... looks like to me he put a major whooping on her (as we say in Texas).... That's domestic abuse folks.
Why do people expect other celebrities to take a stand on this?yes it was a sad situation but TMZ just wants them to talk trash about Chris and that is not even smart for any of them to do.The media likes to stir up trouble. They may take a comment from a person and tell the other that this said this about so and so,causing a rip in their "relationship".Chris is gonna have to work with those people one day and some are their friends, their not gonna backstab him just because he made a mistake. No one in Hollywood would have the right to say anything negative abotu what he did because first and foremost half of them of all went to jail or have been convicted of a crime.Chris obvioulsy apologized and he is truly sorry. The only person that had to take a stand was his girlfriend because she was the one in that incident and could have dealt with it better than she did. It's her fault the abuse ecalated. However,Ashanti was just trying to be positive and not one-sided.So don't get mad cause she didn't say what you wanted to hear.
What I meant was some are his friends and his supporting acts and since thye already have respect for the guy and may not have known how it all went down I doubt they would say nasty things about him to the media. It wouldn't be smart.
What? She did laugh that stupid laugh she usually gives to the press?
ATTENTION: WHY DOES HER OPINION MATTER?
that was jus another way of avoiding confrontation.....i proly woulda said nothin at all...she is good in her career right now...all she needs is for someone to make a bunch of nothing out of what she could have said. and who knows what you will do in that situation until you are actually in it.
Just because she said " I don't know," doesn't mean she's an idiot. Most people say they would do a lot of things, but actually have to be in the situation. Like someone made a comment about her killing someone in the video. Actually she was thinking about killing the person and she also had a video, in which she was abused, so lets not use them as examples. It's better to say that than say you would leave the first time a man hits you and then have it thrown in your face, if it you don't. We all say we would do these things, but it takes you to be in the situation, and there are many factors determing your actions in that instant.
All races have men who beat their women so miss me with the black man BS. Ashanti was simply avoiding these lame ass questions. Why dont doesn't anyone else know how to do that!
TO THE WOMEN WHO MADE THE FIRST COMMENT. NOT EVERY BLACK WOMEN ENJOYS GETTING BEAT IT'S JUST THAT THERE IS A WHITE LAW AND BLACK THAT US BLACK WOMEN RESPECT. WE KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO A BLACK MAN IF HE IS ACCUSED OF WOMEN BEATING, HE LOSES EVERYTHING! EVEN IT IT WAS HIS FIRST TIME , WE MAY HAVE HIT THEM FIRST, AND ALL THAT THE POLICE THE MEDIA THE PUBLIC NO ONE WILL LISTEN HELL CHRIS HAS NIT EVEN BEEN TO COURT AND THE MEDIA IS ALREADY DOGGING HIM OUT AND PUTTING RHI RHI ON A PEDESTAL LIKE SHE MAY HAVE NOT PROMOTED IT I LOOK AT A MANS CHARACTER BEFORE JUDGING AND CHRIS BROWN WAS NOT THAT KIND OF MAN. YOU CALL US STUPID BY STICKING BY HIM SWEETIE ITS NOT STUPID IT'S LOYALTY SOMETHING UNFORTUNATELY WHITE FEMALES LACK . WE WAIT TILL THE VERDICT UNLIKE SOME WHO GET ALL HAPPY TO HERE HE IN THE NEWS DOING BAD.
These are all allegations unless you were physically there you have no right to say what happened because you dont know. I personally think the whole thing is being blown out of porportion. The only thing i see as being a tragedy in this situation is Chris Browns career.Unless i see photos of her bruised face or whatever i think its 90% made up. I think they got into a heated discussion she hit him as she has done in the past and he hit her back.
This is an unbelievably sad situation.
I understand that sites like TMZ are here to entertain, but I can tell you one thing for sure- hearing a woman, like Ashanti make a comment like this- is NOT entertaining.
Postings like this make it seem like what Chris Brown has done wasn't HORRIFIC.
Being hit by someone you are in a relationship with is not always expected- and it's NEVER deserved. It saddens me that the public blogs aren't taking this as a chance to stand up against violence.
In today's world it's so easy to place those that are "famous" on a pedastal- blogs are afraid to speak against them, fellow artists are hiding behind "pc" comments and the public is made to think that these people are untouchable.
What happened to courageous journalism??? What happened to the loan soilders that know the difference between right and wrong- and aren't afraid to stand up for it??
i would have called the police but thats my option and theres no way i would let a man put his hands on me an not do non but thats just me ... !!
