6. this guy got screwed when he was in the height of his career..he was talented and attractive. He had all the elements that should have made him a superstar. He got messed up by jealous black rappers and threatened out of the business. If not for that he would still be enjoying a lucrative career. There is no way anyone can say this guy didn't have the stuff required to be successful. I hope he gets past the anger he must have about being forced out of the business and gets to writing and back to singing and if I remember right he had good rythym so he can dance to..He is not a victim of himself, he was a victim of a competitive business that didn't want him in it...

9. Gwen, why not put the blame where it belongs instead of lying to make yourself feel better? He was a 1 hit wonder who got caught up in himself & his name...basically he punked out. Now all he does is smoke pot, party, beat his wife & blame it on the industry! If he's so good, why isn't he back in the game? Vanilla is flavorless, always was...always will be!
Eminem is holding it strong, because he's got skills & has great friends & people in the industry. Vanilla Ice was a wannabe and let the taste of fame consume his own 15 min existence.

12. Reaper,
Rob never stopped “playing the game.” He’s still very popular all over the world. In Canada, last year he did “a day in the life” type show called “Where You at Baby?” (You can check out the segment on WhereYouAtBaby.com.) I heard that he’s playing a show in Australia with Coldplay and some other top names in front of 40,000 people. Check out RightMusicWrongs.com. I also just heard that there are plans in the works for him to host the MTV Music Awards in the near future, possibly in both Australia and the U.S. He also has an hour long program coming out soon about him, but I don’t think I can mention the name of the show yet.
He does so much for charity that nobody knows about. He’s done stuff for kids at Make a Wish Foundation, he’s done three block parties for Toys for Tots, which last year he brought in thousands of toys and didn’t make a penny. Last Christmas Eve, he went around to a few poor neighborhoods and gave out wrapped gifts to kids, no cameras (except for a little USB camera.). He was so sincere, giving out the gifts. He didn’t have to; he had family in town, but took time out to do it.
As far as him being abusive, that’s just stupid and not true; he’s never been convicted of abuse. Trust me, if he was abusive the state would have picked up the charges and prosecuted him, but they didn’t; they dropped the charges. Did you ever think that maybe the allegations weren’t true? Anyway, Rob is an awesome father and family man.
Lighten up, and if you’re going to say something, at least try to get your facts straight. By the way, if it weren’t for him, there’s a good chance there wouldn’t be an Eminem (not that Eminem is not talented, Rob made it a hell of a lot easier for him).

13. They say ANY publicity is good publicity but as obviously seen here - THAT'S NOT TRUE!
What a dumb ass - and I tried so hard to look past the lameness of Vanilla Ice and let that part of him fall away... allowing for the real him to be seen. Then I liked him LESS! He is just so not OK with who he is - needs his butt kicked. Needs a daddy I think. Something missing somewhere with this dude.
He acts NOTHING like us Floridians act. Weird.

14. Isn't he still a star? I mean just the last saturday he was in concert ... right? No, that was just a walk on part for a band named U.S. who are from canada..... Guess he isn't still on "tour" after all?

15. fingoverit,
How old are you,14? " You say; "...needs his butt kicked. Needs a daddy..." What does that mean? Does your daddy kick your butt, maybe a little too much? Are you sure you're okay with who you are? Is your daddy okay with who you are? I tried so hard to look past the lameness of your ignorant post, but I just couldn't. And if you just wanted to "let that part of him fall away...," why are you posting anything at all? Shouldn't you be doing your homework or getting ready for bed or something? I guess you're going to say really bad things about me too. That's okay, just please don't tell my daddy. Oh and you're a dummy head. LOL
