Plaxico Burress isn't the New York Giants' problem anymore.
The Giants released the troubled wide receiver today, after suspending him without pay for the final four games of last season after his arrest.
Burress is due back in court on second degree gun charges on June 15.

10. I applaud the Giants. It's about time that someone started to stand up to these "gansta" players. Kids look up to these guys, adults admire their abilities. They are given multi-million dollar/multi year contracts and they still act like they are in the hood. And they get away with things that you and I would go to jail for. Not for nothing but there are several awesome players out there that are standing in line for his job. No one is that important.
