I have no sympathy for her at all. The whole world was her oyster and she was given an opportunity most would die for, she had it all. If I have any sympathy for her it would be because her supports were not in place. She had a disgrace for a mother who wanted to be her friend instead of a loving supportive parent. Parents tell their kids when they're screwing up, friends generally don't. Her mother made excuses and defended her behavior because she didn't want to get kicked off the gravy train. But ultimately Lindsay is the one who threw a promising career down the toilet. She went from one of the most promising young actresses in a long time to Dana Plato within 18 months. The picture above says it all. She'll be living out of that car, if she's lucky, in 6 months.

Drugs.But I do have some sympathy for her. How could anyone turn out normal raised in front of the camera and with a mother that defends and enable her so she too can be rich and famous. Sad.
