Kiefer's Surrender -- It Ain't That Easy

There may be a hitch in Kiefer Sutherland's surrender on charges of assault for that whole head-butting incident in New York the other night.

The plan was that Kiefer would turn himself in today and get what amounts to a ticket to appear for an arraignment at a later date.

But now there is some question as to whether a non-resident can just walk in and walk out with a ticket ... it's possible he could be arrested and taken into custody and arraigned right away.

2. Even if he is arrested, if he did it he should face the consequences. Although I love Keifer and think he's a really great actor, maybe it will take more than a ticket to get him to realise that what he did was wrong.

4. OMG why is it even a freaking issue. You know that designer guy is just working it to get publicity, honestly who the hell even knew his name or knew he dressed Brooke Shields until yesterday. Why do law enforcement jump right away to send these celes to jail for this crap, I'm sure there are far more important cases to worry about that they should be spending the money and concentrating on other then celebs and the people who try to get famous off them.

14. This guy was already on probation for DUI. Now he came up to a guy and broke the guys nose. Thats a serious assault but Im sorry hes a TV soap opera actor so he should clearly not be treated like any other person that head butted and cause a serious injury to another with no physical or verbal provocation.
I dont care who the (*^ keifer thinks he is, unprovocted violence that caused a very painful injury to another - for that he should get his ass thrown in jail and required 12 step anger and detox management to boot!
If this idiot were any regular joe, hed be locked up NOW and awaiting a hearing to determine sentencing.
