Felt Jackson Dead at Scene

6/26/2009 1:45 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson Dead at the sceneWhen EMTs arrived at Michael Jackson's home yesterday, the medics wanted to pronounce him dead on the scene -- but Michael's personal doctor refused to let them "call it" -- this according to sources close to the situation.

When EMTs arrived there was evidence someone had been performing CPR on Michael for "quite some time." There was evidence of Lidocaine -- an old-school drug that can be used to treat disturbances in the heart's rhythm. Medics took over performing CPR but determined Jackson was lifeless -- and wanted to call the coroner to pick up the body.

We're told Jackson was flat-lined when EMTs arrived.

But our sources say M.J.'s doc demanded EMTs continue performing CPR anyway, and demanded that they take Michael to the hospital.

Once they arrived at UCLA, we're told Jackson's doc continued to personally administer CPR -- even though it was clear Jackson was already gone.

Nobdy cares when a junkie dies. I'm glad the piece of crap is gone. Hope this makes the victims feel a little bit better.
Ever since he settled out of court with the first child he was raping, I've hated him.

Michael Jackson a victim of "V.I.P." medicine administered by a quack sycophant doctor.

Based on the information available at this time, it appears that Michael Jackson's death occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. as he lay in bed in his home and his personal live-in cardiologist administered his daily shot of Demerol (similar to Morphine). Despite the physician's best efforts to save his life after he became unconscious, was not breathing, and had no dectectable pulse, Michael died. It was reported that when the EMTs arrived, they stated that although they believed that Michael was already dead, his personal doctor refused to pronounce him dead and demanded that the EMTs continue giving him CPR during the ambulance trip to the hospital. Upon his arrival in the emergency room, hospital staff continued giving him CPR for a considerable time thereafter before pronouncing him dead around 2:30, some three hours after the actual time of his death.

#122 - toomuch. You are contradicting even the official statements by the hospital. Addicts aren't simply just weaned, but with drugs like demerol have replacement therapy. Not continued daily injections. Aside from that - anyone with that poor of grammar and communication, I have a hard time believing made it through high school, let alone med school.

I'm not sure why people are claiming this was the result of a Demerol injection, please post a link to a news source that reports this. It's true that a narcotics overdose of any kind may have caused Michael to stop breathing, which would then cause arrest, but until we get the tox results, there is no evidence that drugs caused this. There is also no evidence that any theoretical narcs were administered by the good Dr. If you think you have a reputable source that this is the case, then by all means, post it. Otherwise STOP THE RUMORS!!!

Uh yea... sounds like Michael owed the doc some money because they reported he was in a bit of debt, and the doc didn't like the idea of monthly payments :/ or "I'll pay you after my concert"

Whoops, looks like I made a mistake when I claimed in #136 that lidocaine is part of the ACLS protocol for asystole, only epinepherins and vasopressin are advised for this rhythm. However, lidocaine IS part of the protocol for other pulseless rhythms, any of which could potentially precede asystole, so may have been given before asystole occured. Hoepfully epinepherine is found in the system, this is still the go-to drug for most types of pulseless arrest.

Paramedic

Lidocaine is not used for asystole either. Epinephrine, Atropine, maybe Sodium Bicarbonate...As you can see I am a paramedic also, and if there are signs of death we don’t work it. It is not difficult to do to figure out who is dead. Sure legally we cannot pronounce someone dead. But we can stop CPR and ACLS interventions after a doctor’s ok, or have the option not to start CPR as well. If there is no change after 3 rounds of meds, we call the hospital and every time they agree with us and give us the green light to stop the efforts. Surviving a cardiac arrest is nonexistent unless an intervention (AED) is made within 5 min. This would not be a sudden cardiac arrest, it took time. He did not go into cardiac arrest immediately after getting the Demerol. Demerol is an opiate; it depresses your breathing to the point of a respiratory arrest. Without assisted ventilations, and or Narcan, that leads to cardiac arrest. It took time, within a few min. for his breathing to slow and eventually stop. Narcan would have beneficial only early in this process, when his breathing was slowing, shallow and erratic. But if he is in asystole, it would have been too late to give him Narcan. This doctor is a cardiologist and should know ACLS better than I do. He would have recognized what was happening and Jacko would be alive now if he acted appropriately and called 911 when he realized he was overdosing. If the autopsy is undetermined cause of death it will be drug related. You can see a myocardial infarction (heart attack), aortic aneurysm or a pulmonary embolism on autopsy.

The 911 call sounds as if the individuals in that house could barely speak or show much intelligence.
