Felt Jackson Dead at Scene

6/26/2009 1:45 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson Dead at the sceneWhen EMTs arrived at Michael Jackson's home yesterday, the medics wanted to pronounce him dead on the scene -- but Michael's personal doctor refused to let them "call it" -- this according to sources close to the situation.

When EMTs arrived there was evidence someone had been performing CPR on Michael for "quite some time." There was evidence of Lidocaine -- an old-school drug that can be used to treat disturbances in the heart's rhythm. Medics took over performing CPR but determined Jackson was lifeless -- and wanted to call the coroner to pick up the body.

We're told Jackson was flat-lined when EMTs arrived.

But our sources say M.J.'s doc demanded EMTs continue performing CPR anyway, and demanded that they take Michael to the hospital.

Once they arrived at UCLA, we're told Jackson's doc continued to personally administer CPR -- even though it was clear Jackson was already gone.

If the "doctor" admitted to spending an hour trying to revive MJ, and administered drugs, why did he not call 911 at the moment he "found" him?!
Why did he insist on being the "doctor" to pronounce him dead instead of the coroner?! Even if the family feels some sort of allegiance to this "drug pusher" MJ's children do not, and neither does the public who made him an icon!
Another case of "conspiracy of silence" and I do hope some reporter will have enough courage to make this issue which is of PARAMOUNT importance, and the focal point of his sudden death, which IMO is actually murder!

There are only 3 who know what happend, sadly one is gone,...the doctor, and God. Not sure how it's handled in Calif as every state is different..I was a deputy Coroner in Illinois and a physician or the Coroner or Deputy Coroners are the only ones who can pronounce someone dead. Actually when the paramedics arrive (in Illinois) if there are no signs of life they call the police and the Coroners office would be called to the scene. The body is not moved. But like I said Calif may be different. This all seems very strange as to why they would continue CPR for such an extended length of time. Perhaps because of who it was, they transported and continued, I don't know. But at this point it really doesn't matter. I do beleive that an Opiate...if that was given, and I do believe so because of the orders on further testing from the Coroner (neurological and toxicology)....it suppressed his breathing which caused his demise. The doctor or someone went to check on him and found him lifeless and started CPR and the rest was out of panic. I do think that if he had suffered a heart attack it would have come out today, if not the leading cause of death it would have been mentioned but it wasn't. But we may still hear Cardiac Arrest secondary to accidental overdose or a lethal combination of something. We will see in the weeks to come. Hopefully he just went to sleep and it was painless. The wold lost a great music legend and talent. After everything he has been through I truely hope he now has peace. God bless his children who are really the ones who will suffer now. RIP Michael Jackson.

Who is the person that called 911? You can hear someone else in the room talking and the caller is using "we" and "us" pronouns but the caller states that the only person that saw what happened was the doctor. The caller does not refer to himself as the doctor, states that "we have a personal doctor here" and says "doctor, did you see what happened." Wouldn't the caller have asked this question before calling 911? "he's pumping the chest but he is not responding to anything" How long were they "pumping" before someone called 911? I would really like to read transcripts of the police interview with the person that made the 911 call. It is also evident that the address and phone number were provided by the caller, but edited out for privacy. This is common practice.

Robbery/Homicide was called in due to the high profile surrounding this tragic death and to ensure that no foul play was involved.

The world has lost an icon. There is only one Michael Jackson, and no one even comes close to the genius of his talent. We shall never forget the real Peter Pan!

How can you NOT call 911 right away. Doctor or no doctor, MJ needed proper medical equipment to save him, not just more drugs and CPR. RIP MIKE

Lidocaine might be an old school drug but it is used everyday in code blue situations of cardiac arrest. The doctor did give the correct medication for the situation presented.

If the EMT considered him 'gone' they could not transport him to Ucla, isn't there a law that states ambulances are not allowed to transport dead bodies? Wasn't that what happened to Marilyn Monroe? I heard that when she died in the ambulance on the way to a hospital they had to take her back home and then left her body there.

What got him so "SICK". in the first place? He was never severely injured and he never had a disease like cancer. Bla Bla Bla about back pain and a really questionable skin condition or minor burns in the 80s. How would the average state workers health providers care for a patient with the same conditions? Remember all the "Jackson sleeps in an o2 tent" rumors? These "celebrity doctors" are licensed drug dealers. I'll bet that Jackson's daily drug regiment was absurd by normal standards. Most of his medical problems seem like they were caused by previous medical procedures or medications.
I'm not a doctor or even a high school graduate and it is perfectly clear that this man was a hypochondriac surrounded by yes men who had it in their best interest to keep their meal ticket doped up to grease the wheels.
The worst part to me is the power and credibility some of these (Celebrity Doctor) hacks get. My father was a Paramedic Captain for the LA City Fire Department the men and woman he worked with were the most dedicated and professional people I have ever met. They are real life heroes saving hundreds of people rich or poor every day. It makes me sick to see them getting ordered around wasting their time and resources being ordered to pump on the chest of a dead body for an hour while this hack chasing a fast buck shook some liability and got his story straight.
Wake up people stop looking for easy answers and worshiping celebrity. People need to take more pride in their own work and collective accomplishments, instead of getting so emotionally involved in all this 24/7 in your face worship the man on TV sound bite culture our society would not be falling apart right now. Try celebrating the life of one of the Paramedics who studied and worked hard to make a living helping anybody who needed it then dedicated 30 years of his life to the LAFD. Not some talented mental patient who made millions of dollars and spent it systematically killing himself by proxy through his pimp handlers.
