Jackson Doc's Interest in Sleeping Disorders

7/24/2009 1:44 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson and Dr. Conrad MurrayAn interesting turn in the Michael Jackson investigation. Several items were seized at Dr. Conrad Murray's Houston office -- "Pamphlets on Sleep Center."

We're told Jackson may have taken the powerful anesthesia Propofol the day he died because he couldn't sleep. Police believe Dr. Murray may have administered the drug.

The Sleep Center is located near Doctor's Hospital in Houston. Dr. Murray was suspended from Doctor's Hospital -- the administrator tells us he believes the doctor was suspended for not completing medical records in a timely fashion.

As for Dr. Murray's affiliation with the Sleep Center -- a rep from the company hung up when we told them we were TMZ.

The phone records should revail what time did the Doc call his Houston office or one of the two sisters that went to the warehouse and retrieved 2 record boxes and fled with them. A call from the sisters back to the Doc will also be traced. If all of this happens in 30 minutes or less, then MJ could have died earlier than previously thought which would make the Doc guilty as charged for tampering with evidence on a homicide case by covering his tracts, whether it was intentional or not.

I've always wanted to know, what Michael Jackson was all suffering from? He was getting Chemo., but for what?
What was all wrong with him in the first place, to keep on taking all these drugs... health wise that is.
Rest in piece Michael, you will be missed

To Tamara (#78): Thank you for mentioning lupus. Most people are saying that he had trouble sleeping because of the drugs. As a lupus sufferer myself, I see the situation from a differently. Insomnia is directly connected to auto-immune diseases, especially during a flare-up cycle. The standard treatment for lupus is a mixture of painkillers and anti-depressents. This treatment does give the patient more up time and controls pain but it only perpetuates the cycle and caused addictions. By the time I was diagnosed, I had already lost faith in the medical profession so I regused to take the drugs. Honestly, if I had been younger and far more trusting when I was diagnosed, I would have fallen into the same trap. For those who are being critical and judgmental of Michael, please stop. This is a tragedy that could have happened to anybody, myself included.

oh my god (#83): the same could be said in the reverse. Perhaps these doctors used their power and influence to lead Michael down the road to destruction. Doctors know more about drugs and their insidious effects on people than the average person knows. It was their responsibility to put on the breaks and just say "no". They chose to keep feeding him drugs for money. If michael is to be held responsible for his own decisions, the doctors must be held responsible for the decisions they made. Everyone knows that two wrongs don't make a right...except for those who share your opinion.
