Whitney Houston sang at her first big comeback concert today for GMA. How was it? Well, she had the audience sing all the high notes for her. They did great.
As for reports Whitney cut the gig short because of a strained voice, her rep tells TMZ "She was only ever committed to two songs, so she actually extended the show to the third and fourth songs."

Good for her for getting back out there. Hey, she still sounds great, IMO, and at least she doesn't rely on the voice synthesizers and such to sound good on her album. I like the change in her voice, actually. She sounds her age. :)

Too early to judge. I'm a singer and a rough voice/sore throat can hit you any place, anytime. If she had just canceled the appearance she's be getting hit hard by everyone for that too.

So sad was this live performance. It seems the powerful PR team at PMK can't hide the truth about her damaged voice no matter how much Clive Davis and Sony/BMG pay them to. She will never sound anything like the Whitney we're used to due to all the abuse she did to herself.
