Why in the world does somebody like this need Social Security? Anybody who makes this kind of cash should not be sucking off the government teet. Even if they paid into it. This moneyy should be going to those who really need it.

And it sure looks like his investments are performing great, even in a depressed economy!

This looks pretty paltry only 306 K in cash. MJ had twice that in cash in 2007 PLUS the 5.5 mil in 2009 he had smeone holding for him.

Of course he is entitled to his Social Security! This man has probably paid many, many, MANY times OVER what he will ever receive in Social Security for the rest of his life. Mr. Hefner has just as much right to draw out his money he has paid in on Social Security as anyone, if not more. What about all the people who are drawing social security now who have never worked a good days work in their lives? THOSE are the people you should be angry at. If you have a job and pay taxes, then YOU should be angry at the people who think it is the government's job to give them money for nothing! Think about it people!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!

Last time I checked, if you haven't worked...EVER, and you live to 65 years old, you don't receive a Soc. Sec benefit check....
or DO you????
Cause if that's the case I'm QUITTING MY JOB RIGHT NOW!
If Poor people all over the USA could just walk in and pick up a check after never having worked for 40 years, EVERYBODY 65 or older would be getting one right!?!?!?!

There is something seriously wrong here. Nas reportedly earns $244,000.00 a month and Hefner earns only $50,000 more than that? Hefner is an icon, a legend and a pioneer in adult entertainment and he is in the same neighborhood as "NAS"? Some two-bit rap star! Are you kidding me?

Either Hefer is seriously under reporting his earnings or rappers make WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much money and I will never feel guilty illegally downloading a song again.

I agree with a few others that said he has EVERY RIGHT to collect social security! Do some of your not know what social security is? It's not welfare, which is for people that DON'T earn a paycheck...it's money that YOU have earned that the government has taken an interest-free loan on for many years! And the way things are going, in the future it may turn out the government will default on that loan and not pay it back to you, essentially stealing your money. It's very noble if you have a lot of money in your retirement to refuse Social Security, I suppose...but to criticize those who take it, come ON! They EARNED it, literally! I'm guessing you're the same people that feel bad for those that refuse to work and take welfare, which is paid for by the taxes of the working people. Good grief.

LAUGHS AT YOU

HAHAHAHA

You people are pathetic...how can some rich guy get benes? Because he made the money.

Give back? People in his bracket pay most of the income taxes in the country. What have you done to earn your keep...snicker..most of you probably don't even pay taxes but don't complain about all the freebees you get that are funded by people like Hefner...just live off the work of others. Do you know anything about American history or economics you clueless dorks? How many people does his company employ? What positive effects on the economy are his investment dollars reaping? Do you think the money is just stuffed in the mattress? Look at all the money he puts back into the economy to keep people like you in rent money.

Get off your envy trip and make something of yourself. Applaud those who went out, beat the odds, and made it.

HAHAHAHHA

College and health care combined cost less in the Hef household than entertainment.

This is why I'm not uber-rich...I just do not prioritize well. I should pay less on my student loans and buy more porn.
