People are used to seeing photos which have been altered for magazines. This is a natural shot and her makeup looks good on her, esp. the red lipstick. Maybe she's tired, she's human.

As if it wasn't obvious, I found out from a friend of her sister that she was strung out and as a result went to rehab.
