Nicole Richie just won a temporary restraining order against two paparazzi who slammed into her car earlier this month.
A lawyer in Mark Geragos' firm, Tamar Arminak (inset), was in court this afternoon and convinced the judge the photogs -- Ivon Miguel and Bam Bam -- are a danger to Nicole.
They were ordered to stay 100 yards away from Nicole and have no contact -- either direct or indirect -- with her, her kids or her staff. Joel Madden is not covered by the restraining order.
In her declaration, Nicole says the harassment occurs "on a daily basis." She claims the paps have been "stalking our home, as we try to go about living our lives."
There's a hearing next month to make the restraining order permanent.

Restraining orders should be taken out on any and every pap that crosses the line (what line anymore????) of impeding the movement of a celeb - their car .... their person .... their motorcycle .......

Someone should tell these so-called celebrities that the only way to get away from the paps and fans is to move to a small town in Wisconsin.

If "so-called" celebrities don't want pap attention, it's very easy. Don't live in L.A. and certainly don't go to known pap spots. All this complaining about pap attention is just theater to look important. Thanks for clogging up the courts!

Los Angeles is their home city - because that is where the bulk of work in their industry exists. And some of them grew up there and that is where their family is (like Nicole Richie). They aren't all out at clubs begging to get more famous by being photographed. Nicole has 2 kids now and just goes about her life. She doesn't deserve to be hunted down by paps and harassed.

The L.A. lawyers run the PaPs it is easier than chasing ambulances. The prosecuitors are run by an ELECTED lawyer and free publicity for those elected is gold so they will persue any sorry event that gets them press.
Celebrities use the PaPs the same way, they tip them to boost their alleged career.
Paris is the world champion at manipulating the PaPs and the mainline press. Some day she will start sueing posters on sites like this, it is the next step.
