Wife Told Cops Tiger Boozed on Crash Day

12/7/2009 5:05 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The Florida Highway Patrol wanted to get a blood test from Tiger Woods after the crash, because a witness told them Tiger was boozing earlier in the day -- this according to new documents obtained by TMZ.

FHP had requested Tiger's blood sample, after a witness -- we're told his wife -- "stated that the driver had consumed alcohol earlier in the day and the same witness removed the driver from the vehicle after the collision."

The document continues, "The same witness stated that the driver was prescribed medication (Ambien and Vicatin [sic]}."

As we first reported, it was Elin Nordegren who pulled Tiger from the crash and told cops he had taken medicine (but she didn't know when) and even brought the pill bottles to the EMTs.

The document concludes, "Impairment of the driver is also suspected due to the careless driving that resulted in the traffic crash."

Ultimately, the FHP's request for the blood sample was denied, on grounds of insufficient evidence to issue a subpoena.

The FHP has determined alcohol was not a factor.

I'm wondering why he was immediately admitted to the ICU and intubated. There could be many reasons for that. The police request for medical records only state that Woods was prescribed medication - wanting to prove it based only on the fact that he possessed these meds didn't prove he had taken them that day or even that week...

99. When Tiger was a teen his dad told reporters his son was going to be more famous than Jack Nicklaus one day....turns out he was RIGHT!

But his dad should have also said that his son will have no more scruples, honesty and class than Mike Tyson and O.J.-Oh and that he will be playing a lot of his "great" golf on the "roids".

Yea..well there's famous...and then there is 'infamous'. tiger is now in that infamous category...bigtime.

OK, that does it. The boozing is no big deal, sort of expected.

On the other hand, the pleading with Uchitel to see him, to be his, AFTER his great day of shame . . . well, that is over the edge and done and gone. Elin might be a bit naive, but this is just too darn rude to her.

ANYTHING TIGER ENDORSES IS DEAD TO ME. Most people will probably agree.

Damn, that Buick LaCrosse was looking mighty attractive - half the price of a Lexus, all the features and looks. But each time you sit in it, you think of Tiger Sauce drying on the back seat. Ewww.

@101 comment by Cass - who wrote: "Geeezz...if he had been in ICU, there is no way he would have been released from the hospital so stop spreading lies of what you supposedly heard on MSNBC."
That doesn't make sense, I agree. However, I was released from ICU to home after 6 days in ICU after a near fatal car accident. It made no sense to me then and it makes no sense to me now. I was told that I could not lift anything heavier than a coffee can, but the day I got home, my ex dropped of my toddler and 8 year old and I had to lift my toddler almost immediately (which could have caused another serious - even fatal - bleeding episode if the repair to my internal organs ruptured again, not unlikely considering I have a bleeding disorder).

So going from ICU to discharge does happen to very non-famous, regular people. I was not happy, but it appears this was Wood's preference. Head injuries can show up far after an incident. That's concerning...

He's a mess! Who knew? He needs counseling -- big time. I am not sure he can save his marriage, although he may be able to do that with money. The investigative journalis Gerald Posner is reporting that Elin's is negotiating for some $70 million to stay with him for another 7 years. Will he be able to resurrect his career? Even if she does stay? I am not so sure any longer. Wow. He's out of control.

based on their original prenup, if elin stays with lion cheetah for another 5 years, she gets $20M. once you have a few millions, you do not need more. it is all blood money. so i do not think elin will negotiate any term longer than 5 years. also, i doubt lion cheetah would want her for that long around. his sex life will be on hiatus until they split. people say he is a sex addict. i do not buy it. he had money, it is prostitute's job to take money for sex.

all the negations are probably for short term. instead of $20M 5 years, it is possible lion cheetah is offering 2 year $5M. it is a win-win for both. this is good for sponsors and tiger inc since it gives enough time for people forget and lion cheetah get in golf form.

although, since gloria's cut is 30% and rachel would want to get net $1M after tax, my guess is lion cheetah paid $2M to rachel for 5 months on/off affair. compared to that, his own wife elin of 7 years relationship is shortchanged but lion cheetah is poison. at this moment, i personally would not care about the money. actually, she helped to complete lion cheetah's fake wholesome image so she should get the half of everything tiger made since they were married. but, laws per prenuptial are on lion cheetah's side.

i do not know how lion cheetah came up with 10 year period. he probably thought he would make enough money by then. since elin signed up 10 year prenup, she probably thought to stay with the lion cheetah longer than that.

lesson learned, never sign a prenup. if a guy asks you to sign a prenup, he is not in love with you.

So just because he hasn't finished grieving for his "daddy" that gives him the right to be a rotten person by cheating on his wife with countless women, boozing it up, driving drunk, abusing prescription pain pills and being arrogant? Wow, talk about cutting him some slack! Average people don't get the benefit of the doubt, so why on earth should a celebrity? Enough with the hero treatment. I say throw him to the dogs -- let hims see what it's like to be an "average" person.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!! Excellent! Too funny!

I wouldn't read too much into him being admitted to ICU. He was discharged the next day so he couldn't have been that incapacitated. I suspect it was a simple case of him being wasted on Rx pills and booze, with some collateral damage to his face from Elin's fit of rage.

The movie will be filmed right after the reality series: My Tiger. He will have to pick one of the chicks after they do stupid tasks to prove thier love. His wife will show up on the second episode as a surprise contestant.

For those who argued that Tiger deserved privacy, he got it. You do booze and pills and crash and see what happens to you.
