TMZ has learned the L.A. County Coroner is currently conducting an autopsy on Brittany Murphy, despite the wishes of her husband Simon Monjack.
As TMZ reported, she was feeling ill before she died.
We're told Brittany had taken prescription drugs before she died -- we're also told authorities discovered a large quantity of prescription drugs at her house after she died.

I am extremely happy they are doing this. Something is awful fishy to me about not wanting an autopsy. I understand the wishes of the family, but I don't understand why you wouldn't want to know why your 32 yr old wife would randomly die.

By the way...stop sentationalizing her death. I've just heard by other tv news that they are thinking she died of natural causes... even though she was 32, it is possible and it happens lots of times every year even with younger people.

What a coincidence that the house
Brittany Murphy died in, she purchased from Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake back in 2003.
Who would've guessed that out of the two Brittanys, Brittany Murphy would have been the one to go first..
My condolences go out to the family, and to those wholm loved her.

There is always an autopsy when the cause of death is unknown, especially in a case like this. Shady~ prob adderall and eating disorder, her little heart couldn't keep up-it was fried! RIP
