Accusations Fly in Sudden Deaths of MJ Giraffes

Sorry to hear about the giraffes.

When I was a little kid my neighbor's teenager shot my horse while the neighbor boy was "learning to hunt". Nobody in law enforcement in the redneck part of the West would do a darn thing about it.

As a result, it's unreasonable of PETA and the rest of the blogosphere to jump to conclusions. The same thing could have happened in the rednect country of Northern Arizona.

The only way to tell why an animal died is a necropsy, which is like an animal autopsy. The necropsy has to be conducted by a veterinarian who has no ax to grind, because veterinarians don't have a written ethical standard about being honest.

But on to a more important animal issue, coincidentally related to giraffes. Tomorrow, the San Francisco Chronicle is probably going to break a big story about the Oakland Zoo, which is run by a non-profit corporation. Allegedly the zoo's executives are paying themselves, and relatives and cronies of Oakland politicians who are employees of the zoo, a lot of money in pay and benefits, while at the same time stinting on the amount of money being spend to feed the zoo's animals.

Allegedly, baby giraffes and baby elephants like to eat the green wood and shoots of acacia trees, which grow in both Africa and Oakland. As a result, allegedly, rather than buying the acacia in a legitimate way, the Oakland Zoo has had crews of employees and contractors going on stealth missions throughout Oakland and chopping down acacia trees to feed the zoo animals. Allegedly, this is being done in violation of Oakland's tree protection ordinance, which requires a permit and consent from a host of "interested parties" if a mature tree is going to be cut down.

I wonder if PETA will bother to investigate the tree thefts, or instead cooperate with the "animal lovers" on the Board of Directors of the zoo corporation and help hide what has allegedly occurred.

Gosh, I detest having to use that word alleged/allegedly.

So the saga continues...I just hope we can get justice in the case of these poor animals, but I'm very doubtful due to the hostile atmosphere in AZ over this--and now PETA is in on the act? Dag-gonit!
While we wait for necropsy reports (hopefully not for 7 mos.) here's what rocking my world:
1. #25, 29, et.al.--PETA in the closet: Thanks so much Barb for the links on PETA. I have to admit I was pretty ignorant as to their rep...they need to be put on blast for the horrible things they've done in the name of animal justice. My question is, Who's going to save the animals from them? I wouldn't be surprised if THEY were the ones who killed Michael's giraffes knowing it would be blamed on the owners or townsfolk who are against the preserve. In any event, I agree with Chico that someone more likely did this ONLY because they had once belonged to Michael in order to get the world's attention...disgusting!
2. #72--J3 at Christmas: Thanks Mimi for sharing the story on J3's real holiday. It warms my heart to know that they had a true holiday experience. I know it's hard for them not to dwell on Michael, but I just hope that they were able to remember all of the great Christmases they had with him. Just wish Grace didn't have to be a part of it. Hopefully when the trial gets underway, they'll force her to show her true colors. Because of the children, I want to believe she had nothing to do with the drugs and enabling, but my gut tells me the stories about her are right. We'll see.
3. #164: Michael and the Animals: Thanks for sharing the other side of this story. The one thing I hated when I saw this story is the fact that I knew people would revert to type and rehash all that garbage about the poor treatment Michael's animals received at Neverland. Ch'mon people, we already went over this: Michael hired people to take care of the animals, and he himself treated them like gold, however, when the 2005 trials began, he didn't have time to oversee what was going on at Neverland, hence, things went awry there. It's not hard to understand--you try being in the fight for your life after being accused of one of the worst crimes known to man. I doubt that you would be thinking about what was going on with Neverland, bills and the animals--especially when you knew you had hired someone to do that job for you. And remember, he had no personal assistant because Evvy Tavasci had been fired, so the only person who could've done anything was Randy...yeah, I know. BTW Tellit, on their show, the brothers said Randy is in Monaco.
4. #155, 184, 188, 218--The thing about hoax: Kudos to everyone on their words of wisdom on this. Frankly, this hoax thing is getting rather tiring. Let me reiterate, in order to pull something like this off, Michael would need the cooperation of the authorities and the powers that be--something he never had (read the FBI files.) And regardless of how many palms were greased, there would always be someone out there who'd see a bigger payoff and go for the gold--yes, right now Michael and all things Michael is a hot commodity and they would've realized that there's not enough money in the world to keep something like a death hoax quiet. Just think of Michael's life since "Thriller" and the past 7 months, for that matter. Anything that even remotely smacks of Michael has been reported on and people still think he could be somewhere on earth and nobody drop a dime? Ludicrous and then some. Now don't get me wrong, I would love to see Michael again, that is my dream, but I fully accept that much to my dismay, he's gone. I console myself with his music and DVD's and the knowledge that as Tito said on the Jackson Dynasty, there'll never be another like him on this earth...
BTW--Alex, what is truth? Put it this way, there is always the element of truth in a world full of lies--the devil is in the details and has been since practically the beginning. Nothing revolutionary there
Finally, Cindee, Bunny, Dahzillig and others: Thanks so much for your kind words of support. I'm glad that I can add anything to these threads. As corny as it sounds, I'm truly humbled by the fact that we can all come together and discuss and investigate the life and times of this unique being called Michael who God gave us for a brief time. I just L.O.V.E. him so much and my only goal is to share with others who feel the same...it's all about Michael and L.O.V.E...

Think about those words, people. It's very obvious there's a deliberate plot on the TMZ threads to drive away all support for Michael Jackson. They want nothing better than to shut us up in the hope that MJ will be forgotten forever. By engaging in arguments with the haters(paid trolls?) you're helping to drive away those who are trying to keep Michael's legacy alive. STOP ARGUING WITH THEM! The ONLY way to hurt them is to IGNORE them. Can't you all see that yet?

#9 is an IDIOT! While the "narcissistic" MJ owned these beautiful animals, they lived in WONDERFUL surroundings and had EXCELLENT health as they were extremely well-cared-for, you FOOL! If MJ was such a narcissis, he wouldn't have reached out LOVINGLY and provided shelter and homes and spent LOADS OF MONEY taking good care of them FOR YEARS. He LOVED his animals and because of HIM they lived long and HAPPPY lives. Now that he is gone NOBODY is taking better care of his stuff than he did. He was a real humanitarian & nature lover. Give credit where credit is DUE!

Oh yeah....and my Itchy mouse was T all along. I loved my little mouse until she stuck up her nose at my cheese wedges and yogart yummies and took up with that Anaconda bitch! roflmao....You're still a sweetheart T.
