Jay vs. Conan -- It Gets Personal

To Lori, how can you say that Conan kicked leno out and now karma is out to get him? Leno had 4 years advance notice that Conan was gonna take over the show! And i don't think Conan is whining he's just really pissed. It seems that a lot of these late night comedians don't like Leno for some reason everyone is ganging up on him, right now when they have a chance. Leno is such a fake person and not funny at all, he just needs to be a man and leave the tonight show with Conan!

I tried and tried to like Conan, just didn't like his comedy, it was too childish. A great duo would be Leno following Fallon. After Leno left, and tried to watch Conan, I ended up liking Fallon. Yeah, he's green, but he's trying hard and it shows.

Just echoing WayToGoJay...he nailed it! Conan is completely juvenile and boring who is in desperate need of a big-boy haircut. Years ago, when I first heard that Conan was going to take over for Jay on the Tonight Show, I knew it wouldn't last. Conan belongs on some kind of porn network. He has absolutely no class.

"Conan, quite your little girlie whining, you had more time to establish your show at 11:30 than Leno did at 10:00, suck it up, it's business. The network knows where the money is and it's not with O'brien. He still does the same old stupid crap he did on Late Night, it's juvenile and boring - especially in his opening. Attacks on Leno seem really unfair. First of all, he was forced out of the Tonight Show because of some NBC Exes mindset to fix something that wasn't broken. From what I understand Leno and Conan attract different audiences. If Leno's audience pulls in bigger numbers, then NBC would want to reinstate him. Is he to say "gee, I don't think so". I think not. It is simply hiring the one that is going to fit the bill the best, as is the way in all hiring. That is not to say, Conan has gotten a raw deal. However, life is not fair..... I am sure he will land on his feet wtih Fox and in time the dust will settle. If anyone should be blamed it would be NBC Executive Zucker, not Leno!

Plus Lettermen's attack on Leno is very childish and very tranparent. He want's Conan to compete against as he has been doing better against Conan than Leno.

-Okay so to everyone who actually watches their shows, and isn't just talking to talk and sound important, you would know that Jay Leno's jokes are dry and dumb, his audience hardly even laugh's; they just snicker. Leno is odd too, he doesn't even engage in the conversation with his guests. He just lets them say whatever they want to, asks a question from time to time, and then claps. He's extremely awkward and annoying.

-On the other hand, Conan O'Brien's jokes are extremely original. When i'm watching his show, i'm nonstop laughing. He's very creative, especially with his monologues. His audience does the whole long laugh, followed with clap at just about all of his jokes. Also with guests, he's engaged in what they have to say. He gets up and moves, dances, or acts crazy with them. If Leno did that, he would be so embarassed and turn bright red. Conan just goes, "what the heck" and is always himself, no matter how weird. He's ahhhmazing. GO COCO !!

-also jimmy fallon is reallllyyy good. he has a kind of awkward confidence that always makes his show amazing. watch him too :))

i grew up with conan, he has been on the air since i was 9 yrs old. just like leno viewers are used to him, i am used to conan and i am the future. at 25 you have a lot of time to work with me as a viewer. nbc is totally idiotic, and i hope conan fans wont stand for this and will boycott. morality does matter, i dont make a lot of money i definitely dont have a show, but i have been wrongly screwed over and i know how it feels, and conan did not deserve that.

Leno all the way. Conan is a whiny brat. Can't be pushed back a half an hour? Big deal. Your ratings stink, you've destroyed the tonight show, be thankful you still have a job. And if he cared so much about the crew's jobs, he would stop complaining and just move later. It's all about his ego. He thought he would be so great on the tonight show and he's not and can't handle that fact. The network should stop cow towing to his threats and just let him go.

I have absolutely no reason to watch anything on NBC now.

Jay is only funny when he does skits and other people are involved like his jay walk segment but that's because the people involved are funny other then that when he opens the show his jokes fall flat like a dirty old penis!

Yes, LENO agreed to retire, LENO got prime-time show, LENO failed miserably, LENO wants old show back. Those are the facts. LENO doesn't care that he "handed over the torch" to CONAN .. HE'S ONLY THINKING OF HIMSELF, as usual ... I will stick with LETTERMAN, the real funnyman of late night!

Everybody's got his own opinion. Everybody's got his own palate for humor. The bottom line is, NBC's wrong to kick out Conan and his staff and make people like him and other late night teams on NBC suffer for its folly to trust Leno with the 10:00 slot. If anybody's at fault, it's NBC and Jay Leno, who started the drama months back, talking about retiring and moving to another network. It's funny how NBC favors a guy like that after giving him the Tonight Show after Johnny Carson and making him filthy rich. Meanwhile, guys like Conan (remember it's not only Conan being screwed, people who work on these shows and their families as well), do their job, even uproot their family's lives for NBC, and they get figuratively spat on.

Yes, late night is about our entertainment. They're all just there to figure out what makes us the happiest. I wouldn't stand for this injustice to Conan and others! How can one be happy about that? The real victims are fairness and decency. Like Conan or not, fans have to support what's right and show an example to the world, America.

Objectively, Leno's not even funny at all without his writers. Conan, on the other hand, whatever he does is deliciously entertaining.

It seems Leno doesnt even give a flying f* for Conan and his staff whose lives underwent dramatic changes due to his "retirement". People should boycott NBC just for siding with Leno on this one. Leno, you are officially a douche.
