With the civil case Joe Jackson is bringing against Dr. Murray, can any other family members bring separate cases against him, or does it have to be a class action suit?

Nordstrom, Inc. to Offer Teacher’s Week Discount; launch Nicole Ritchie, Phillip Lim Items

Educators to get 30% off any three items during National Teacher Week, May 3-9

SEATTLE, WA -- Nordstrom, Inc. announced today that it will offer a 30% discount on up to three items of apparel to the nation’s educators to celebrate National Teacher Week, May 3-9.

The discount will be available to any pre-school, elementary school, junior high school and high school teacher with a valid workplace or union ID.

National Teacher Week is celebrated by communities nationwide each May as a way to show local educators the value that the community sets on the contributions they make.

“There’s no group that Nordstrom loves more than the nation’s teachers, and we are proud to participate in this event,” said Amelia Ransom Letcher, vice president of Diversity Affairs for Nordstrom.

In other Nordstrom news:

--The retailer has just announced the launch of the first of five online videos starring Michael Buble in connection with his 2010 U.S. "Crazy Love Tour," which kicked off earlier this month. As the exclusive U.S. tour sponsor, Nordstrom will offer customers access to unique Michael Buble experiences at Nordstrom stores, online at nordstrom.com and at concert venues throughout the tour.

The videos, titled "80 Suits" directed by Wayne McClammy of HungryMan Pictures, highlight the partnership between Nordstrom and Michael Buble through the eyes of Michael's truck driver, who is responsible for delivering his tour wardrobe to each concert venue. The lighthearted, humorous videos will appear exclusively on nordstrom.com for 24 hours before they are released to additional outlets. The four subsequent webisodes will launch on May 3, June 7, July 5, and August 23.

As the presenting sponsor of the 2010 U.S. "Crazy Love Tour," Nordstrom will provide Buble's concert tour wardrobe including suits and other fashion apparel by Dolce & Gabbana and HUGO. The retailer will also outfit Buble's accompanying band in suits by Hugo Boss.

--Nordstrom has also teamed up with celebrity Nicole Ritchie on a new line of clothing. After the successful launch of her jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960, in 2006, Richie has followed up with a clothing line that not only reflects her personal luxe bohemian and retro 1970s aesthetic, but also indicates that she is in touch with the shape, size and pocketbook of the everyday woman.
Named Winter Kate (the middle names of her daughter, Harlow), the 40-piece inaugural spring 2010 collection features dresses, camisoles, cardigans, kimono jackets, vests, blouses and a fierce cropped leather jacket, ranging in price from $98 to $495, with most pieces set in the low $200s.
Using mostly vintage silk crepe and silk chiffon, the collection is ethereal, willowy and exotic, with touches of Stevie Nicks. Colors are subdued, earthy neutrals with the occasional jewel tone. Rich, yet subtle prints like paisley, marble and florals mean the clothing can be easily layered or worn alone during the warmer months.
Nordstrom is carrying the Winter Kate line, and while a few pieces are available online at Nordstrom.com, more garments from the collection are arriving in the downtown store in anticipation of Richie's personal appearance on Saturday, March 27 from 1-3 p.m. (free and open to the public).
--In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Nordstrom is partnering with CFDA Swarovski Award-winning designer Phillip Lim on a limited-edition T-shirt that will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom for the month of May.

These limited-edition T-shirts will be available at 16 Nordstrom stores and online at Nordstrom.com/apahm beginning May 1st. T-shirts will sell for $85 each with all after-cost proceeds benefiting OCA, a national organization dedicated to serving Asian Pacific Americans. For 37 years, OCA has worked with its 80-plus chapters and affiliates around the country to embrace and fulfill the hopes and aspirations of Asian Pacific American youth and their communities.

"We are excited to partner with Phillip Lim in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month," said Ransom Letcher. "Our collaborative effort in support of OCA's youth programs is one that we can all be proud of."
Nordstrom, Inc. is one of the nation's leading fashion specialty retailers, with 157 stores located in 28 states. Founded in 1901 as a shoe store in Seattle, today Nordstrom operates 103 full-line stores, 50 Nordstrom Racks, two Jeffrey boutiques and two clearance stores. Nordstrom also serves customers through its online presence at http://www.nordstrom.com and through its catalogs. Nordstrom, Inc. is publicly traded on the NYSE under the symbol JWN.

Hey Harvey,

Canada here. I know that my comment is too late for the show.

I listened with dismay at your comments about Obama and healthcare. Harvey, you are an elitist!

Sorry, but I feel that you are a single guy, with health coverage and so removed because of your economic status to truly appreciate what it means to just regular people.

Everyone gets old and will be afflicted with a serious ailment or disease sooner or later. EVERYONE!

Your "death panels" already exist at the insurance companies. Literally, they look for any way possible to cut your benefits no matter how long you have been paying in! Exactly when you need it you don't have it and you are out all that money too.

If I have cancer, mental illness, AIDS or Hepatitis C I will get treatment in a timely fashion. I don't have to choose between food, home, my child's education and my family's basic health care needs.

Our emergency rooms do not serve as substitute doctor clinics. Just freeing up those resources and doctors across your country will provide incredible savings and a huge impact on being able to provide efficient care to the actual emergencies cases.

Regular doctor visits will help to spot poor nutrition and abuse among the poorest and vulnerable that don't have access to a doctor now. We have access to legal abortions that don't jeopardize the mother. Countries that have legal abortions have less need of them.

And here is the patriotic angle. Every country's most precious resource is people. More of you will get a better sleep because there is less worry. If your population is healthier your country's economy is stronger. Most bankruptcies in your country happen because of illness. It's the trickle up theory if you will.

Sorry Harvey, but Obama does know what is good for your country!
