Bret Michaels -- Painful, But Good

Bret Michaels says he's at 75% these days -- which, considering all he's gone through over the past few months, is about 1,000% better than we would have expected.

Outside his home in AZ, Michaels said he'll see how he's feeling over the weekend, but for now he plans to be in NYC on Sunday for the finale of "The Celebrity Apprentice."

If you're rooting for Holly Robinson Peete to beat Bret ... you're probably not a fan of snow on Christmas morning.

Two strokes and a hole in the heart. And counting. And still on his feet. WAG THE DOG. And be sure to watch this seemingly fake scenario unfold as Bret wins on The Apprentice.

ORIGINALLY SEEN ON HOLLYWIRED.COM

This news just in.

The real reason for his brain problems is that he has never taken off his bandana in over 24 years. The doctors showed extreme concern due to the lack of blood supply to the cerebral areas due to the tightness of the bandana. “We have seen this before in truckers, but never in a musician”, said doctor Wienstein of Bethesda Mercy hospital. “Some people go days without washing their hair, or taking off their hats, but most of those people are rednecks or arabs, this is the first time to see someone never remove a bandana for 24 years”. Psychiatrist say that the affliction was common in the past decade in balding men and was the driving force for the popular “comb over” hairstyle that was all the rage peaking in the mid 1970s. “If it weren’t for the new popularity of the shaved head, bald men the world over would still be combing over their bald spots and even wearing bandanas”, stated Ned Ryerson of central Pennsylvania. Bret is a party of one, a support group of one, since no one else could get away with wearing a bandana 24 hours a day for 24 years and still maintain a job…. Doctors now admit that if Bret were to losen his bandana, there is a good chance his problems might be over. However, it would take a brave first step and they are not sure the 46 year old, rock in roller, reality show host and still partying adolesant diabetic would be mature enough for that first step…..

It's great to see him looking so well...but should he be driving?? With all his recent issues, that seems like a scary risk...espically driving his children. I hope nothing happens while he has his kids in the car. Good luck Bret.

Bret looks wonderful and will probably win Celebrity Apprentice. He has shown remarkable courage and endurance over the past couple of months. It was great seeing him looking so good on this video. It brought a smile to my face.

The sign behind the car...it appears to be a "For Sale" sign from Sotheby's. It it for Bret's house or another one down the road?

In PA after the stroke they suspend your driver license by the law. When my dad had his stroke, because he was never hospitalized doctor let us keep it but told him not to drive for 3 month.
Driving sports car less the month after one is insane.

My Dad had 2 strokes because of leaking heart valve. It took as 3 days to realize that he had stroke because he used to stutter and was able to compensate for slurred speech same way that he compensate all his life for stuttering.
