Pastors from several churches in the Houston neighborhood where Dr. Conrad Murray does charity medical work are organizing a rally to coincide with his scheduled hearing in L.A. to set a date for the preliminary hearing.
We're told United States Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee will be in attendance, to show support for the doctor who is accused of killing Michael Jackson.
We're also told as many as 1,000 people are expected to show at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Acres Homes, a poor community in Houston.
As TMZ first reported the initial plan was to charter buses and come to L.A. -- to counter the protests organized by Michael Jackson fans.
UPDATE: Congresswoman Lee's Chief of Staff just
called TMZ and said, "There is no knowledge of any event. There is no
truth to the story."

I don't think for a second that Dr Murray killed Michael on purpose..Not for one single second and I am a huge life long Michael Jackson fan.
So you are really condoning a murderer, you are the biggest losers in the world, didn't you understand that he gave an anesthetic outside of hospital settings and without the right equipment, he is a monster Conrad Murray. I hope it haunts him for the rest of his days! He took the light of the world out. Dumb jerk. and people actually still let this man practice medicine. if figures coming from this world. Support Dr. Murray. He will be found not guilty. Its obvious that he has done a lot for the Houston area or he would not have so many followers.
Does anybody knows why that murderer hasn't faced justice yet? Wasn't the trial supposed to start in May?What's going on?

How ironic that Sheila Jackson Lee is now supporting Dr. MURDER and 1 year ago she spoke at Michael's memorial service. It's sad that even in death, Michael can't get people to be loyal to him.
