NAACP: Mel Gibson

'Out of Control Racist'

7/1/2010 3:40 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The L.A. Chapter of the NAACP just reacted to Mel Gibson using the "N" word in an explosive fight with Oksana Grigorieva ... calling Mel "an out of date and out of control racist."

0701_naacp_mel_EX_TMZ_01
Leon Jenkins, President of the L.A. NAACP tells TMZ it's unfortunate a man "who has made his millions off of women, African-Americans and Jews harbor such racist, sexist, and anti-semitic feeling against people who have admired and respected him for decades."

Jenkins says "An apology is insufficent given his history of racism, sexism and anti-semitism."  Jenkins adds, "No amount of words will change his image as an out of date and out of control racist."

Jenkins does end, however, with this:  "Only a sustained period of positive acts can his legacy be redeemed."

What a classic mistake Mel Gibson left his wife to be with someone younger He finally suc***bed to his desires like many men in good positions do. Not really his fault I guess many men would do the same but its interesting that usually it just doesnt work. Mel used the N word in the context of a visualization he created in his mind of a street gang that would be as nasty as he could make in order to ram home his anger I think he just vented and doesnt hate black people. Just as he exagerated everything he said about her its obvious he was over dramatising to vent.

Jesus was a jew so were Jesus family this is the crux of his beliefs so does he hate jews? Does he hate black people? Jesus himself could have been black let alone Mels love of god.

I think he says things stupidly in anger in drink and because of who he is a drunken mans potty mouth of someone in turmoil is presented to the world in the cold light of day.

Oksana recorded him knowing if he lost his temper she'd have some great evidence for the divorce. Pre-meditated possibly incited and Mel was reeled in.

This will finish his career and shame him. How sad that such a brilliant actor should be ruined by this But how typical in our build em up knock em down self righteous hippocracy.

The NAACP is as out of date and racist as La Raza, The Nation of Islame, the Black Panthers, LULAC, and the KKK. Any time that you fight for the rights of only one group and especially when you use skin color as a qualifier, then you are racist..plain and simple.
It's (ho-hum)tiresome to hear these people complain about slavery when the truth of the matter is this: if the Africans never came here and all the black folks and their ancestors were still in Africa, you would STILL be slaves to some tribe. Coming to America was a step up in the status ladder. I'm not saying slavery was good, it wasn't, but one gets the impression that white Americans invented slavery/white Americans were the most cruel slave owners ever. Both patently false. Stop dwelling in the past and blaming whitey for your station in life. Accept responsibility and get on with life, but no, it's so much easier to point the finger and shirk responsibility - kinda like your 'messiah' Obama.
The Jewish people from before the time of Christ to the Holocaust to today have been far more persecuted than the blacks ever thought of being and do you hear the Jewish people complain? No.
I recently read about the Hi Fi Murders that happened in Utah in 1974 wherein three black men robbed a hi fi store and then poured liquid Drano into their mouths in an attempt to kill them. When this failed all were shot. One who didn't die quickly enough was strangled and then had a ball point pen stomped into his ear so hard that it came out his throat. They also raped a woman before shooting her. All of the victims I believe were white. Yet the NAACP petitioned on behalf of these two s***bag ******s because they didn't get a fair impartial jury..wahhhh. They can count their blessings in hell (both were executed by lethal injection) that I and mine didn't get ahold of them!! And this is why I could never support the NAACP. (How about getting with the times and call yourself the NAAAA for National Association for the Advancement of African Americans - though most who call themselves African American couldn't tell you a thing about Africa or it's history - then your name sound relevant: Naaaaaaaaaa). One last thing (too much coffee this a.m.?), please call yourselves Americans and stop with this separation/hyphenation crap. American of African descent would be fine but putting the turd world continent (Africa) full of turd world countries in front of the great country of America is absurd and insulting. If ya don't love America then please go somewhere else..I've heard that Mexico has plenty of vacancies.

You hear black people say the "N" word all the time! The next time some "colored" person calls me a "white b*tch," I'm going to report them to the National Association for the Advancement of White People! People seem to forget that "colored" people can be JUST AS RACIST as any other group of people!

Everyone has on the face of this planet so get a life already. Move on. Think about the oil spill killing off our animals. That is more important than what Mel says to his ex don't you think

I think Mel Gibson made some comments that might not have been the nicest things he could have said. However, he said them in the privacy of his own home, and like someone on here previously said, "not to the world or any group of people." He has a right to his opinion, no matter how mean or incorrect it may be, and he has the right of freedom of speech. It's true that many african american or black people use the "N" word in music, as a greeting, and even as an insult. When a white male uses it, however, it's considered an outrage. Well how about when the opposite happens and black people call white people crackers, whitey, honkey, etc? Even if you aren't racist, if someone of another race pisses you off badly, you might throw out a racial slur. Why, because you are going to want to say something that's really cutting. That person hurt or offended you, so you want to hurt/offend them in return. Does that mean that you really feel that way about an entire race? And come on people, you know it's true! Even if you are the President of the United States, there is a public face and a private face to every person. When you are in front of people and want votes, money, and esteem, you are going to make sure you are politically correct and everyone is likely to give you what you want. Behind closed doors, the mask comes off, and you don't care what any one thinks, you say what you think regardless of who it might offend. Let's all get off of our high horses and realize at the end of the day he is just a man and we all do stupid things and make mistakes. If you don't like him now, fine, don't watch his movies. But don't crucify him. Everyone reading this board knows they have said something, racist, inappropriate, or mean at some point in their life. YOU just weren't on constant surveillance by the media for it to get blown up in your face. By the way, I'm a nice white american female, and earlier tonight I had a hispanic woman call me a GRINGA, lol. I have no problems with any race, and I usually try to treat others how I want to be treated, but that didn't matter to this ignorant person that didn't even know me. Racism happens to everyone, not just black people.

The "N" word, in my opinion has been given too much power, and I believe it's self imposed. Yes we as Black men do use it, but it's not the word itself but what speaking that words infers. When Blacks say the word it's not to stereotype, degrade, or belittle; that is the primary difference betwen Mel Gibson and a Black man saying the word. I personally don't give a damn what another man thinks of me b/c in the end we won't ever break bread together. So, let a racist be a racist because what's in his/her heart won't change.

The ****** community has such overwhelming social problems they will always be a blight on humanity associated with serious crime. Just review the FBI crime statistics for the last thirty years. Sorry for the bad news, but blacks in general refuse to admit or address they're problems.
