Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ...  Foxy Brown has been arrested in New York.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Foxy was taken into custody just after 6 PM ET for allegedly violating a protective order.  We're told one of her neighbors had an order requiring Foxy to keep her distance ... but Foxy allegedly violated it by verbally engaging the neighbor.

Jail her and make an example out of her. I'm in the middle of court proceedings against a neighbour who just doesn't understand the meaning of leave me the f*ck alone. Last week she tried to engage a different neighbour for backing me up about some violent confrontations that led to property damage. She showed up there with two equally trashy friends, one of whom brought a baseball bat because she was under the impression that they were coming to beat the hell out of me. All because I told her son to stop digging holes on my front lawn...

Apparently some people love drama more than they love freedom... give 'em what they want.
