MJ Mausoleum -- Who's Ready for Yoga?!

8/3/2010 10:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

MJ's mausoleum is about to be penetrated by a busload of hardcore Yoga enthusiasts ... and TMZ has learned Forest Lawn is welcoming them with open arms.

According to sources at the cemetery, the followers of Paramahansa Yogananda (pictured top right) -- a famous Indian guru and yogi who died almost 60 years ago -- plan to visit their master's crypt today for a prayer ritual ... and his crypt happens to be inside the same mausoleum where MJ resides.

The problem -- the Great Mausoleum has been on lockdown mode for months -- thanks to some overzealous MJ fans -- with the cemetery threatening to remove Jacko-holics by force if they're caught anywhere near the building.

But we're told since Yogananda's followers have been doing their prayer thing in the mausoleum for years -- and have never caused a problem -- they're cool to enter the area.

However, according to our sources, MJ's tomb will be covered with a screen during the spiritual visit -- and get this ... it's all because security is afraid a few crazed MJ fans could pose as yoga enthusiasts ... just to sneak into the mausoleum.

160....... Ah but I have seen people "Ridiculed, ostracized, and attacked" by you on the boards because they believe he is dead. I think earlier you referred to MJ as giving his fans "a royal f'ing..."

So tell me what is that? You do the same as what you accuse others of doing to you. Not trying to start trouble with you Tellit, just noticing some discrepencies in what you claim.

Let's be real here, the razor cuts both ways...

For decades, practitioners of kriya yoga (and those aspiring to learn it) have made pilgrimages to Forest Lawn to the crypt where Paramahansa Yogananda (founder of Self-Realization Fellowship [SRF]) is interred. I find it heartening, that after a year of being closed, that Forest Lawn has made it possible for devotees to again visit -- at least during this time of year, when SRF has its annual, worldwide convocation in Los Angeles.

While I understand that fans of Mr. Jackson might feel they are being deprived of their desire to pay their respects at his resting place, some of his fans have gotten mightily out of hand (both during his lifetime and after his death), and I can understand Forest Lawn's reticence in reopening the mausoleum in which both PY & MJ rest. This is not to cast aspersions on MJ's fans, but I think that the followers of a peaceful, meditative path (who have been visiting PY's crypt for many, many years without incident) may be perceived by Forest Lawn as more respectful than those of a pop star's, and less likely to cause any disturbances and/or physical damage to the crypts and their surroundings.

Instead of getting misinformation about what yoga/meditation is or is not on a message board, perhaps taking a look at some writings about the practices would serve you better:
