I don't know what his problem could have been. Any US citizen with a valid passport, as long as, it doesn't expire within 6 months, could enter into Ukraine and stay up to 90 days without a visa. He could have easily bribed his way out of whatever reason it was. That how the militsa work!

Yes, Phil is a cool guy. He's also a New Zealander (or 'Kiwi') as we like to call ourselves). I'm not sure if he has US citizenship or not, but that may have been the issue. Although, from my own experience, you can walk into almost any country in the world with a NZ passport, no visa or anything else required.

A foreigner conducting business in 'The Ukraine' (LOL, sorry had to) could need a Working Visa. If they did not have that, they may be held up.
